Truth be told, I was going to make this and the previous chapter into one, but it was just too long for my taste so I decide to split it up. For those who have read my previous work, the title to this chapter may look familiar, doesn't it? Anyways, after Luffy defeated Echo and Rave, it's Pitch's turn to fight against Luffy. In this pre-timeskip fight, who will come out on top? Luffy and his rubbery fists or Pitch's primeval powers? Read to find out as the battle between Section Leaders reach it's climax while ending in a surprising twist! I don't own One Piece.
After defeating Echo and Rave, it was now Pitch's turn to fight against the young man. Out of the three, Pitch was the only one who truly sought to fight Luffy and now that she got her wish, she could barely contain her fighting spirit. Echo tends to the injured Rave, but keeps an eye on the pair, curious on how this battle will turn out.
"It's nice to see someone appreciate the same tastes!" Pitch laughs wholeheartedly. "Here I thought me and the Section Leaders were the only weird ones."
"Well, it was Uta who taught me about the power of music so I guess it just stuck." Luffy said smiling. "You're not planning to sing and fight, are you?"
"Well, let's just say that I follow my own beat." Pitch answers. "I have no intentions to bring my precious musical instruments in a fight with you."
"Well, whatever you do, I'll be sure to give it my all." Luffy said, punching his fist into his hand.
"Don't treat me like the other two, I'm on another level." Pitch warns Luffy. "Let's see if you can bypass the martial arts that were passed down through the lost generation of Wano."
"Martial Arts? Wano?" Luffy asks curiously. "What's that?"
"I see, I guess someone who hasn't been in the New World wouldn't know much about it." Pitch said, rubbing her chin. "I guess I can explain it to you. You see, in the land of Wano, there are three known fighting styles that are practiced there."
"Three?" Luffy asks.
"Yes, there is swordsmanship which are used by samurais, sumo which are used by sumo wrestlers, and ninjutsu which is used by ninjas." Pitch explains.
"Whoa! There are ninjas and sumo wrestlers there?" Luffy asks, eyes sparkling. "That's so cool! I want to see a samurai!"
"Yup, you can see them all at the land of Wano." Pitch says. "Anyways, most people don't know this, but there is actually a fourth fighting style that was lost to being outshined by the other three."
"Is that the martial art thing you were talking about?" Luffy asks.
"Sure is. That last fighting style is a type of karate called 'Fist of the Roaring Tiger', a fighting style which allows one to attack with the stealth of a tiger and launch an attack with that same ferocity." Pitch explains boastfully. "You see, long ago these four types of fighting styles were famous in Wano, but as time went on this fighting style was soon lost to time with the civilians of Wano learning the other three as they were more popular than the other. Eventually, the only thing left of that karate were the scrolls that told the secrets of how to use the technique."
"Is this martial art thing strong?" Luffy curiously asks.
"Of course it is! I am the self proclaimed last predecessor of this martial art! I have learned more about that karate than any other person alive." Pitch said happily. "However, over time, I have expanded on this martial art and have taken it to the next level! I call it: 'Fist of the Bellowing Dinosaur'!"
"That's a mouthful." Luffy said, shocking Pitch since that wasn't the reaction she was hoping to get out of Luffy. "It's kinda hard to remember that."
Pitch then regains composure and laughs so hard that tears form in her eyes. Echo didn't expect that sort of reaction from Pitch as she assumed that Pitch would be insulted after that comment.
