Just friends?

Chapter 8

"Sky?! Have you been here the whole time? I was worried sick about you." Pierre hugs me. "Max also didn't know where you were. But Lando told me you were here when he left. And knowing you I knew you would be here. What happened? Why are you here?"

I look him in his eyes. "Want to know the truth?"

"Of course, but know that you don't have to tell me."

"Lando hugged me when I was having my interview and they asked if he was my boyfriend. I knew that a question like that was going to come at some point but not in that context."

"I don't want to push you, but what happened next?"

"Lando was walking away, until they asked that question. He came back, explained that we've been friends for really long, dragged me away from the interview and brought me here."

"He left you all by yourself?! I'm going to kill him." He stands up.

"Pierre no! He didn't!" I grab his wrist. "We talked about the situation, he left for his interviews and I didn't want to leave this place."

"Okay, but I promised Max to bring you back for Ziggo."

"I guess there is no other option."

Pierre helps me up. "You can do this Sky, I believe in you."

When I'm done and walking through the paddock alone someone comes up to me. "Hi Sky, still remember me?"

I look at him. "Oh, ehm, George right?"

"Yes, I was wondering if you had any plans for tonight."

"Actually yes, I'm going to watch a movie with Pierre."

"Oh okay, have fun then, bye."

"Bye George."

I message Pierre.

*Are you free tonight?*

*Yes, why?*

*George asked if I had plans for tonight and I said that I was going to watch a movie with you so...*

*I'm always up for a movie night with you. 7 pm in my room?*

*Yes, thanks.*

I drive back with Max and we eat together when he gets a call from Christian. He picks up and 5 minutes later he comes back. "I'm so sorry Sky but I have a really important team meeting that I can't cancel. You need to survive tonight on your own."

"Don't worry, I'll get myself some company."

"Okay, bye Sky, I think I'll stay there or something, it's an hour drive for some reason so I'm not coming back. See you tomorrow and take care of yourself!"

"Bye, good luck and see you tomorrow."

I take a quick shower before going to Pierre. I walk in the living room I see Pierre's hoodie. Should I wear it? Ah, why not.

I put it on and it's way too big for me. I message Pierre that I'm coming a little bit earlier because Max left and I want company.

When he opens his door he immediately laughs. "That's my hoodie. But whatever, you can keep it."

I look at him in shock. "Wait... What?"

"I said that you can keep it, it looks good on you. But come in, there's a movie waiting."

I walk inside and I see Cars 2. I run to Pierre and hug him. "You remembered!"
