Just friends?

Chapter 31

"Of course it matters that you panicked. Is there like a reason that this happened, or is it just random?" He lays down next to me.

"I had a bad dream, that you cheated on me and hated me and so on. When I was younger, I didn't have many friends, all the friendships turned out to be fake. So yeah, that dream in combination with the fact that you weren't here caused my panicking I guess."

"I'm so sorry Sky." Pierre hugs me, and gives me a kiss on my forehead. "I would've stayed here, but I got a call and I didn't want to wake you up, so I went to the living room to talk."

"I interrupted it, yes or no."

"No, absolutely not. I was looking for an excuse anyway. Do you know how boring the media can be?"

"The media called you?"

"Yes, I had an interview over the phone scheduled at 9, for half an hour. But I kind of forgot, so my ringtone woke me up, and you woke up at 9:40. You saved me, if you didn't wake up I still would've been talking to that lady."

We get ready and drive to the track. "Excited for today?"

"Yeah, I think we can do great, and pole position is obviously the target."

"You can do it, I believe in you."

He squeezes my hand. "Thanks Sky, that means a lot."

I watch FP3 at Red Bull, and everybody does quite well. I end up watching quali at AlphaTauri.

Max gets pole, Charles front row and Lando P3. Pierre qualifies P5, Daniel P6 and Alex somehow P8. George got P4.

Pierre gets out of his car, immediately runs to me, and hugs me tight.

"P5, that's how you do it!"

Lando joins our hug as well. "What about me then?"

I mess his hair up. "You also did an amazing job Lan."

While Pierre is putting his helmet away and stuff like that Lando bows over to me. "Want to watch a movie tonight? Just you and me, best friends."

I hug him. "Best idea you've had in a long time."

"Love you too Sky. But I have to go now, P3 problems. 7:30, room 104."

"Yes, I'll be there."

I knock on his door. "Coming!" He opens it, and hugs me. "Hi Sky, ready for the movie?"

"Of course, always."

"Just like the old times."

I playfully hit his shoulder. "Don't tell me that you are a 'when I was younger, everything was better person', because I'm leaving then."

"Of course I'm not, life is so much better now."

Halfway through the movie, I didn't fall asleep this time, the doorbell rings. We both look up in confusion. "Who ordered room service?" Lando asks. "I didn't."

"Are you sure you didn't, because I also didn't."

"Normally I would say yes I'm sure, but I actually am starting to doubt myself."

"I'll open the door then, and we'll see."

When I open the door I there is no person, only a tray with candy, chocolate and fruits. And a note.
