Just friends?

Chapter 9

"Of course I did. But you didn't want to spend time with George?"

"Nah, not really. I don't want to spend time with someone I barely know."

"What about me then?"

"Yeah but you're different."

"Hahahaa, sometimes you are really weird."

"I know Pierre, I know."

We get in the bed and Pierre looks at me. "Can I?" He sticks out his arm.

"Of course."

He puts his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him. "Are you really okay with this?"

"Yes, if I wasn't I would've said no."

Halfway through the movie I feel my eyes get heavier and the last thing I hear is Pierre. "You can sleep Sky, it's okay."

FRIDAY

I wake up and look around when I realize I'm not in my own room. Pierre. This is Pierre's room. But where is Pierre?

I walk around for a bit and when I walk into the living room a sleepy head pops up above the couch. "Oh ehm hey Sky. Did you sleep well?"

"Good morning is what we call that Pierre, but yes, I slept really well."

"Oh I'm sorry, I just woke up, good morning. Want some coffee?"

"Would be nice."

He stretches out. Once again his shirt comes up and once again I can't look away.

He makes his way to the kitchen but he almost trips over his own feet. "I'm not the most aware person in the morning okay. Don't you dare laugh."

"I see, you're like Max, he fell over a chair once."

I walk to Pierre, who's in the kitchen making coffee and I lean on the counter watching him. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

He turns around. "Because I didn't want to wake you up, I know how nervous you are and if I woke you up you wouldn't be able to sleep again. And Max was away, otherwise he could calm you down."

"Thanks, I was indeed pretty nervous."

He gives me a cup of coffee. "Here's your coffee, enjoy. I want to leave in 30 minutes, considering it's 10:15 and I have to be with my team at eleven."

"I'm sorry, but can I go with Lando?"

"Of course, go ahead and call him or something. Don't be sorry for that."

"Okay, I would love to drive with you, don't get me wrong, but I just don't want the media to get the idea that we're together."

"It's okay, do you want to call him now?"

"That's a good idea, he doesn't read his messages that often, only if you send him a message on discord he'll read it immediately."

PIERRE POV

And there she goes. Big smile, but I can see that she is nervous. For me, it's okay that she goes to Lando. The media knows that they are not in a relationship, with other drivers including me they may think that she is, although Sky made it very clear that she is single.

And if driving with Lando gives her less stress, who am I to say no? I'm not her boyfriend, not the most important person in her life, or anything like that. I have nothing to say about what she does or feels. But what do I feel?
