Just friends?

Chapter 35

He puts his hands behind my neck and kisses me passionately. "I've been waiting for this the whole day."

"You're not the only one."

"What do you want to do tonight?"

"Go outside and watch the sunset maybe?"

"Sounds great, let's do it."

"But can we go and get some food first?"

His face lights up. "Food? Of course. Come." He takes my hand and leads me out of our room. "What do you want to eat?"

"Is sushi alright?"

"Absolutely amazing."

We get our sushi and eat it on the way. "Pierre, where are we going? You're driving to the middle of nowhere."

"Trust me Sky." 10 minutes later he parks the car at a beautiful location.

"Wow Pierre, I love this."

"Knew it, it's also my favorite. Naahh, almost favorite. Belgium has a better place."

"How do you know all of that? How did you know about here?"

"I discovered this while running, and the spot in Belgium too. I always go there with Charles when it's race weekend in Spa. You know, just looking at the sky, the sunset, the beautiful stars." He sits down and starts to cry.

I sit down next to him and stroke his back. "It's okay Pierre, keep breathing. In and out."

"It hurts so much Sky, so much."

"It does, I know. It's okay."

"It's almost 3 years ago, but it feels like yesterday."

"I'm sure that Anthoine is proud of you, no matter what."

"Yeah I think so."

I put my arm around him. "Should we watch the sunset then?"

I shiver. It is cold and the sun has almost set. It was beautiful to see. Pierre didn't say anything, so neither did I. I shiver again.

Pierre looks up. "Oh you're not wearing a hoodie, of course you are cold." He opens his arms and his legs. "Come, you can sit in between. I'll warm you up. Do you want my hoodie?"

"Nah, I'll be fine." I shove to my new place and rest my head against his chest. He starts playing with my hair, and I feel myself drifting off to sleep.

PIERRE POV

Ahw, she's asleep. I pick her up bride style and carry her to the car. I really hope you stay asleep until we are at the hotel Sky. I start driving back when she wakes up a little.

"Pierre?"

"Hm, that's me."

"Where are we?"

"I'm driving us back to the hotel."

"Okay." She puts her head down and falls asleep again.

SKY POV

I feel someone shaking me. "Sky? Can you wake up? We are at the hotel."

"Yeah I'm awake. Or something like that."

"Great, are you coming then?"

"Yep."

We walk back to my room, talk a little and fall asleep.

MONDAY

I wake up by Pierre leaving the bed. "Where are you going?"

"Opening the door for Max."

I look at the clock. "But it's 8 AM."

"What are the plans for the vacation?"

"We thought, first 2 days in Monaco, as everybody minus you lives there, and then 2 weeks Italy. You can stay with me."

"Thanks,I'm going to open the door, I think that Max is getting impatient."
