I walked out of Hawkins High which has been my home for almost a year now, I had to live with my uncle ever since my dad had passed away last year and I was starting to like it around here, it wasn't a big town and almost everything was within walking distance, everyone here seemed nice and non judgemental. My aunt was definitely the nicest woman I have ever met and she has done everything these last few months to make sure I felt welcome, I had a couple of friends and got really close with my niece and nephew.

As I left the school grounds I looked up to the sky seeing the dark clouds move as the wind got stronger, i had just finished cheer practice and had decided to walk home, it wasn't really far and only about a fourty minute walk which usually passes by like nothing because I would listen to music the entire time but I forgot my Walkman at home so it was just me and the cold breeze. Skipping down the road, holding onto my back pack straps, a creepy white van pulled up next to me and i picked up my pace, i know nothing bad happens around here but if something were to happen, I'd be the lucky one it would happen to. "Do you want a ride?" A guy yells, i continue to keep my pace fast and my head down. "Isabella." The second I heard my name I froze, turning to look at the guy in the van, his face looked familiar but I couldn't put a name on it, i think he goes to my school but I wasn't sure. "Can i help you?" I snapped at him, i didn't know him and I sure as hell wasn't going to be nice to a total stranger. "You look like you need a ride." He smiles at me, his smile was contagious and his eyes had a certain spark in them. "Do I know you?" I raised a brow, hesitantly taking a step closer to the van, still a safe distance between us in case I had to run. "No but I go to school with you, I know you're related to Mike and it's about to rain so are you going to get in or not?" He leans over opening the door for me, i look around the street chewing on my lip, it was in fact starting to drizzle lightly, goosebumps all over my body since my uniform didn't cover up much. "Can I trust you?" I cross my arms trying to get some heat absorbed. "Yes now get in before you freeze." I mean if he knew Mike I could trust him, i hope. "So do you usually just pick up girls or what?" I got in, putting on my seat belt and he slowly pulled away, I realized I didn't have a clue what his name was. "Oh you know just once a week." He glances over at me and i smiled at him. "I'm sorry, who are you?" He shook off his jacket as we reached a stop sign, passing it over to me. "You're turning blue, put it on." His voice was stern yet somehow demanding, avoiding my question and I sat back into my seat covering me with his jacket, staring at him through the corner of my eye he looked concentrated on the road, his tongue slightly sticking out of his mouth. "It's Edward, but my friends call me Eddie." He finally says after minutes of silence as we pulled up in my street, stopping in front of my house. "Well thanks Edward, it was nice meeting you." I handed him over the jacket and hopped out the van, he waved at me before driving away this time with more speed, not even stopping at the stop sign at the end of the road, i shook my head walking up to my house, opening the door I put my backpack on the floor. "Isabella is that you?" Karen rushed to the front door, a worried expression on her face. "Oh God, I'm so glad you're here I was just about to send Nancy to look for you, i don't want you walking in the rain." She places both her hands on my cheeks and I look outside seeing that it was pouring outside. "Oh it's okay, I got a ride home from some guy." I followed her into the kitchen and poured me a glass of orange juice.
