One more month.

One more month till I'm back with Eddie.

School has gotten increasingly harder and i barely had time to talk to him these last couple of months, if anything we've probably spoken 12 times this month, our daily morning calls were non existent and our nightly calls were only two hours long when i got the time, Eddie has been understanding and would regularly call to check up on me if i haven't called him in a week, i have booked my flight ticket back home and i'll be home before Christmas, the 20th to be exact, i had been so swamped with  projects, assignments and essays that i couldn't even hang out with Casey or Theo, we've all been in our rooms doing work or i'd be at the coffee shop, spending time with Connor who turned out to be the coffee guys name and he would help me revise my work if the shop was empty, i was definitely thankful that it was open 24hours and nearby the school, I'd spend most of my time sitting in one of the booths, eating muffins and drinking coffee, i think the amount of coffee i had in the last week was concerning but still impressive. I use to get eight hours of sleep but now I've gotten eight hours of sleep this week, staying in the same booth till 2am the mornings, studying when there's an exam or test, the only time I'd be cooped up in my room was when it was for projects that had to be made and hand crafted. I had the opportunity to use the art room to paint because the art teacher had said that my art work was impressive and i could access any time i wanted to if i felt inspired, how could i be inspired if i felt like the walking dead? If there were to be a zombie apocalypse at this very moment, they'd think I'd be one of them or be scared of how i looked.

"You'll be fine, you know everything from front to back Isabella, i don't know why you're so stressed over nothing." Connor smiled as he gave me my flashcards which i neatly put back in my backpack, my eyes felt heavy and my nose felt stuffy, my throat felt as if they were ripped to shreds every time i swallowed. "I guess you're right but i just want to make sure that I'm prepared for the exam, I'm sorry if I'm boring you." i smiled lopsidedly, sniffing before taking a sip of my coffee. "You're smart, stop doubting yourself, even if you don't get it right this time it doesn't compare to the times that you did get it right, you're way too hard on yourself." He assured me and i just nodded tiredly, my eyes barely open, "Maybe i should take a break, i mean i know everything and a rest won't hurt anyone." I said softly, staring at the mug in front of me. "You know, coffee isn't something that makes you happy, it's just something you depend on to get through the day, I'll make you my happy drink." He slides out the booth, taking my mug with him and i sighed, resting my head on the table as i stared at the other tables and chairs in the little store, Connor had explained that it was his father's first but his father owns a company and barely had time to renovate or look after it so his father gave it to him, he showed me pictures of what it looked like when his father owned it and it seemed so dull, as if you'd be drinking your coffee and feel depressed as to how colorless the shop was, it was now filled with vibrant colors that complimented each other and made me feel happy, especially the freshly grounded coffee smell that hit you as you walked in.

The shops bell chiming brought me out of my sleepy haze, my eyes somehow opening but still felt shut. "Look who the cat dragged in." His voice was extremely loud throughout the empty room and made me wince, raising my head to look at the stupid boy who unknowingly interrupted my few seconds of peace. "What are you doing here?" I asked curiously, leaning my body forward as my eblows were pressed up on the table. "School's coffee tastes like burnt rubber, i would never drink that shit and they're anyways closed this time of the night, my question is what are you doing here, the circles under your eyes are darker than my pants." He points to his black sweatpants and i rolled my eyes. "I was studying but I'm taking a thirty minute break." He slides in the booth, sitting opposite of me as Connor came over, placing a cup of what smelled like hot chocolate in front of me, Theo was aware of my little new friendship with Connor but could not accept it, he would click his tongue, tap his fingers or scoff loudly whenever Connor was near our table which sometimes made me laugh but other times made me wonder why he disliked the poor guy so much.
