Isabella decorated the babies room, one side completely filled with Bella's things while the other was filled with Cole's, she even had two seperate curtains, one side purple with castles on them while the other side was red with little cars printed on them, even though Cole and Isabella were just three months old, it seems that both of them already had their own personality, Cole being the hotheaded one like his mother while Isabella was the gentle one who jusy found joy in pulling people's hair out of their skulls.
Isabella and Robin had grown increasingly closer, Robin spending most of her time after work here with the babies and helping Isabella around talking about her new girlfriend, Vickie, in my opinion considering how close she was with Steve i always thought something was going on there but when she got official with Vickie she came out to the entire group about her sexuality .
Everything had been going good since the accident, I've convinced Isabella to see a therapist just so that she could have someone to turn to besides me when she wanted to, she admitted that the car accident had taken a toll on her and hasn't got in a car since the accident, the school has given her an extra month off her maternity leave because of the accident and my work had been very understanding when i stayed out the entire week, they offered to give me more time off but i couldn't take more even if I wanted to stay with Isabella and the twins but Robin and Isabella convinced me that they were going to be alright so i let them be.
"Aren't they the cutest?" Isabella cooed as she watched them sleep in their cribs, "Definitely got that from you." I wrapped my arms around her frail body, pulling her back as she leaned against my chest, her hands resting on mine. "Hmm, i don't know, Cole definitely reminds me of you." She smiled up at me and i shook my head, "Have you seen him? All fiesty and hotheaded, he definitely has your temper missy." She rolled her eyes as she stared back down at them, her eyes flickering between the two cribs, ever since she woke up she had that extra glow, her eyes sparkling as she smiled, everything seemed so much brighter with her back in the house, when she was gone this was just a house with blank walls, now with her and the twins here, it was home.
She had painted sunflowers in our room on the side because she was 'bored' but i knew she just wanted to because she talked about it a while ago, she had fixed the guest room upstairs and made it look all homey and comfortable, on weekends Robin would sometimes stay the night and sleep up there so it was basically her room, a few clothing of hers hanging in the cupboard, the bathroom upatairs had all her toiletries packed away so she had it all when she slept over. "Maybe we can all have dinner on Saturday and catch up." She suggested, glancing back up at me and i shrugged, "Whatever you want princess, maybe a barbecue with Steve, Mike, Dustin and Ted while the girlies are busy in the kitchen." She nodded her head at my idea, holding onto my hands as if she was scared that they were about to be ripped away from her.
"You know i love you right?" I leaned my head down, resting my chin on her head, "Hm, i'll have to think about that." She turned around, leaning up and placing a kiss on my lips, "Don't do that." I groaned and she raised a brow, a questioning look on her face, "Last time we did that, that happened." I nodded towards the cribs and she chuckled, immediately shushing herself as she bit down on her lip, her hands covering her mouth and she took my hand, leading me out the room as i slowly shut the door behind me. "You seem to be good enough to cook." I teased and she smacked my chest, "Pizza?" She asked, wiggling her brows which made me laugh.
"Sounds like a good plan princess." She smiled at me as we sat down in the living room, "Pass me the phone please so that i can call everyone and tell them about Saturday?" She batted her eyes at me, sticking out her bottom lip and even without that look i could never refuse doing something for her, sometimes it felt as if though i wasn't doing enough for her, afterall she had been through it's hard to make up for it.
"Honey I'm home!" Robin's whisper yell was heard from the hallway as the front door slowly clicked closed, a few seconds later revealing a very drained looking Robin, she had finally gotten her license and saved up enough to study as a nurse. "Honey?" Isabella asked and Robin nodded, smacking my head as she walkes passed me, "Yes, my lovely wife, something someone won't do." She squinted her eyes at me teasingly as she fell down next to Isabella. "We haven't discussed it Robin but it will happen" I huffed out as i passed Isabella the phone. "Don't worry i won't be here for long you little lovebirds then you can discuss it all, i have a date to get to later on." She grinned, nudging Isabella's shoulder and they shared a look before bursting out laughing, muffling their laughter as they but down on their fingers, i couldn't help but roll my eyes at their unique bond, always talking to eachother with their eyes and never telling me what it meant.
"We're actually having a barbecue on Saturday so you can bring Vickie." I put my feet up on the coffee table and she nodded, "Will do Munson." she wrapped an arm around Isabella, squeezing her shoulder, "What about you Mrs. Buckley?" She made a kissy face as she looked at Isabella, "Oh I'm sorry i didn't know my competition was here." I grumbled causing both the girls to giggle, "You better watch out Munson, Buckley is definitely in the lead." Isabella teased, sticking out her tongue as she looked at me then back at Robin, "Hmm, i might have to go ring shopping soon, mind giving me her ring size Eds?" Robin smirked and i huffed out, crossing my arms across my chest.
"Soon I'll be the one sleeping in the guest room." I joked and the girls nodded in agreement. "What's news?" Isabella asked, putting the phone back down on the coffee table as we all payed attention to Robin, it used to be their gossip sessions but i had recently discovered that i was in touch with my feminine side, enjoying the hot gossip Robin had to say, whether it was from people we knew or people she worked with.
Saturday
"Mrs and Mr Wheeler." I greeted Ted with a handshake and Karen with a hug, Nancy and Mike shortly after came up the stairs, after greeting them we went to the back garden and started the barbecue, only waiting for Steve, Dustin, Robin and Vickie at this point, Karen had stayed in the kitchen with Nancy and Isabella, helping her make the salads and put out some snacks for everyone to eat including refreshments for the adults.
About ten minutes had gone by and Steve and Dustin showed up, both of them still glued to the hip, Steve had brought some breezers and Dustin, well he brought his comedian side, not even five minutes of him standing there and we all were laughing, Robin and Vickie showed up twenty minutes later, both of them bringing chips and snacks as they came outside and stood by the fire.
A while later and Karen, Nancy and Isabella came out with the twins in their strollers, tucked in their blankets with beanies protecting their ears from the cool breeze, i sat back and admired my current life, everyone laughing and talking, getting long as i continue to watch my gorgeous fiancé admiring how effortlessly beautiful she looked laughing at something Nancy told her, her dimples deeper than before. Ever since she got out of the hospital she had the most bright glow around her, her happiness brightening up the dull world we lived in.
Robin looked my way, seeing that i was looking at Isabella, her eyes trailing down to the stroller, her face brightening up as she saw Bella being awake while Cole was passed out next to her, Robin quickly ran over to the stroller and started playing with a very talkative Bella, both of them engaging in what seemed to be a serious conversation from the distance, a constant 'googoo' and 'gaga' leaving Bellas mouth, even though Robin didn't admit it, she definitely had a favorite.
