~Chapter Four~
Even though the flight was about two hours long i was completely drained and couldn't wait to get back home and in my bed, before i got on the flight i was on a call with Karen who said she was going to make roasted turkey and a few other side dishes for me as my welcome meal but i think i was more excited to see my bed, I carried Luna around in her pet carrier at the airport and sat down at a nearby cafe, watching the people around me all hug eachother, welcoming someone or saying goodbye to eachother, Ted was extremely upset when i told him I'd rather take a cab home than let him pick me up, but i only had good intentions, i didn't want him having to drive and be tired when we got home and besides he had to help Karen with my devine meal that was awaiting me. "You seem to need a ride." I almost broke my neck and spine the way my body spun around in my seat, seeing the all to familiar Steve Harrington standing a few feet away, "How did you know i was here?" I got up from my chair and pulled him in for a hug and immediately he returned the favor almost squishing me into a lifeless corpse. "Natural instinct i guess." He grinned once we let go of eachother and i raised a brow at his stupid response to which he rolled his eyes.
"Fine, i was hanging out with Mike and Dustin, they told me that you're coming home today so when i went over there earlier, Karen told me the time your flight landed, i think you're just mean to hide the fact that you're home earlier than you originally planned." It was true, nobody besides Karen and Ted were supposed to know of me coming home, it was kind of a Christmas surprise for all of my friends. "Who else knows I'm here?" I questioned curiously, wondering if Eddie knew that i was back, "Me, Mike, Dustin, Ted and Karen." He smiled, making his way over to my suitcases, he gasped once he saw the pet carrier that was placed on the table which made me laugh.
"Steve, i would like you to meet the new love of my life, Luna." I opened her cage and took her out, holding her little fluffy body close to me while Steve examined her, "Is that a cat?" His eyes were wider than normally, his lips parted as he continually stared at her, as if in shock to see a cat. "No doofus, it's a little dragon." I rolled my eyes sarcastically and he scowled at me before taking Luna out of my arms and snuggled her, placing little kisses on her. "Don't worry little Luna, I'll save you from your terrible mom." I softly slapped his arm, trying not to make his arm twitch in fear of him dropping her. "Oh my God, she's purring!" He smiled widely as he tickled her stomach which caused her to roll over in his arm, laying down on her back as she tried to catch his hand as he tickled her. "I know, she's a ball of serotonin." I smiled effortlessly as i watched her play with Steve's hand, him wincing every now and then when she dug her nails into his hands pulling him closer to bite him.
"Come on let's get going." He carefully gave her back to me and i put her back in her pet carrier, swinging two of my smaller bags over my shoulder while Steve took the heavier one and my two suitcases, dragging them behind him as we made our way out the airport. "So how was CTS?" He asked as we walked out, "It was wonderful, the best to be quite honest, everyone is so nice and smart, the dorms were huge, not to get started on the actual classes, the students were all so invested in actually learning and the teachers and professors were so good at teaching, they were an inspiration to us in some way, and i got two really good friends, Theo and Casey, both of them were a little pain in the ass sometimes but they were the best, the school itself was the prettiest building and it reminded me of a old castle or catholic church, it had green vines growing up the walls which gave it an extraordinary look, the grounds were huge and the gate that opened to the school, definitely came from an old castle, no one can change my mind." I ranted about the beauty of the school as we approached the car, placing my luggage in the back seat and we let Luna out her pet carrier and she layed down on my legs as i rubbed her back gently.

As i made my way up the staircase of Eddie's porch, loud laughter was heard as i stopped infront of his door, the giggles of a girl made my hand hover over the doorknob, contemplating if i wanted to know what was behind the door but the curiosity built up inside me and i twisted the doorknob which turned out to be unlocked, i had to brace myself for what i might see once i opened the door, it was my plan to surprise him for returning so early but knowing he was with someone else made my heart drop to the pit of my stomach and shatter, the shards cutting my organs one by one, the heart wrenching feeling turned into physical nausea once i opened the door revealing a bare naked back straddling him, her long black hair falling over their faces, despite my presence they continue whispering sweet nothings in eachother's ears, both of them laughing, i continue standing in the doorway with my mouth slightly parted at what i was witnessing, my hand was still frozen on the doorknob as i watched them starting to make out until i dropped my keys, causing both of them to jump, falling off the couch and Eddie's eyes widened as his eyes met mine, the girl giving me a dirty look and i took a step back, my eyes started burning and i found it hard to swallow, "Isabella, it's not what it looks like." I took another step backwards and shut the door, running down the porch off of his front yard and down the side walk.
