(Ayanokoji POV)

I began to make my way to the theater, taking the longer route so I would have less of a chance of running into anyone.

I took out my phone. The person had texted me to meet immediately. Looking at the schedule, a play was happening right now.
But, there was not much of a chance that many high school students would actually watch it.

I ran into Hirata just a few steps before arriving.
"Hey,  Ayanokoji."
"Sorry I have to..."

I was going to gracefully leave before a conversation could commence, but Hirata looked troubled, which was rare.
"Something wrong?"

He scratched his cheek, and looked around the room.
"It's just...about what Katagiri told me..."

Katagiri had told Yukimura to tell Hirata something the first day we arrived, but I wasn't exactly aware what it was. I could take a good guess though.

"I just don't want anyone to be expelled, and he seems to have something to prevent that...but I'm not sure about his plan..."

I tried to imagine what Katagiri could have done, and I only came to one conclusion, and it wasn't very ethical.
"I would just listen to him. I really do need to-"

I tried to walk past him, but a hand grabbed my arm.
"Are you sure?"

He looked at me with desperation. I could stop Katagiri from doing what ever he told Hirata, it wouldn't be difficult. But, I had agreed to this plan a while ago, even though I wasn't told the fine details.

The entire plan, which I assume wasn't told to Hirata, could only be formulated by a monster, but I wasn't about to stop this monster.

Hirata was just a piece, and I would keep this piece in place.

"I'm sure."

He nodded.
"Okay, sorry about that. Have fun with the play!"

He walked off. I wasn't sure if I wanted a very influential person in the class to think I was a theater nerd, but I let him go anyway.

I walked down to the place the person was sitting.
"Hello, Ayanokoji."

It was Chabashira.
I just stayed silent, awaiting for her to begin her piece.

"How is the exam going?"
"Couldn't you ask another student that question?"

She had asked only me.
"I didn't ask another student, I asked you."
"Why?"
"You know why."

I shrugged.
"I really don't."

She sighed.
"Fine if you refuse that, then tell me about Katagiri Yuuichi."

So, that's what this was about. Though, I was sure she had other intentions.
"What about him?"
"You two seem to get along well? Is he interested or valuable in your eyes?"

I shrugged.
"You saw what he did on the test."

"There is more to this school then just academics."

That was true. We were speaking on a cruise ship after all.
"He seems average to me."

For now, I would leave at that.

"Two people have contacted me. They want you and Yuuichi expelled."

So it was that man. I was also sort of aware on who was contacting about Yuuichi.

"If he proves to be a hindrance on the class, I will have no choice but to expell him, and you."

I grabbed her collar with a bit of force. She didn't seem scared like a normal person would though. She seemed to have expected it.
"Would you expel someone, despite knowing they could be killed?"
