(Ayanokoji POV)

The ship is set to arrive back at the school in 3 days. That means all students have 3 days to do whatever they want on the boat, whether watching a play or playing games in their rooms.

I've decided to relax and read the book Hiyori gave me. I told her I would read it, so I'll make sure to finish it in time for our 'Friend Date.'

Next time I see Chaiki or Yuuichi, ill invite them as well. Hiyori seemed disappointed to hear I would be inviting other people, but she didn't say no.

Class D is currently in a rocky relationship with Class C, so I was hoping Yuuichi could use this chance to establish a good relationship with them.

After we helped them in the second part of the exam, Ryuuen seems to trust us more. But that hardly means anything.

I decide to make my way to the Cafe, book in hand. ill order something to eat, and enjoy my time with the waves, and my book.

At least, that's what I had planned until she called me out.

"Ayanokoji! Sit here!"

She pats the chair beside her, with a slight blush, calling me over.

For a second, I decide to ignore it, but she sees right through me.

"It's a small Cafe you know. I know you can hear me."

With a slight sigh, I decided to sit next to Hiyori.

"Oh! Have you decided to read the book!"

"I had until you called me over here."

Realizing her mistake, her smile fades, and she quickly apologizes.

"Sorry, I just got really excited when I saw you had it with you."

She seems really eager to talk to someone else about the book. I get how she feels. When you find something you really like, you often feel the need to talk about it with others. Not many people read old books, so Hiyori must be ecstatic to be able to talk to someone else about it.

"Don't worry, I come to you as soon as I finish it. I should be able to before we get back to the school."

"I can't wait! We'll have our 'Friend Date' the day after we get back."

She won't stop referring to it like that. I would rather her just call it hanging out as most people would, but she's stuck on calling it a friend date.

"Right. Is the mall okay?"

"Sounds good!"

She starts to clean up her stuff quickly, probably wanting to leave as fast as possible so I have more time to read.

I decide to go up to the register and order a pastry.

While paying with my phone, I hear a familiar voice behind me.
