(Ayanokoji POV)
In the end, the school really did come to pick me up.
Coincidentally, it was the Class A teacher. I completely missed the announcement of who won, but I didn't really need to hear it.
Class D has moved up to Class B.
This is all because of the Katagiri group.
Katagiri Yuuichi, Chiaki Matsushita, Suzune Horikita, and me as well.
There is Kushida as well, but she betrayed our class, so I'm not sure if I could count her as a contributor to our group.
I can probably guess right now, that she has not given up.
She will still be a problem for a while, but I'll leave it up to Yuuichi to decide what to do with her.
I decide to give one last look before I leave the main part of the island.
I wonder if we'll be here again, in the same group, next year.
We might even be able to all compete next time. Katagiri Yuuichi as well.
Yes, maybe next year.

"So, Ayanokoji, I heard you carried a few girls back to the boat."
About halfway back to the boat, the Class A teacher finally talks to me.
He was the one who saw me take Chiaki back at the beginning of the exam.
I guess all the teacher have heard of me carrying the girls back.
That might be awkward.
He doesn't seem to think I did any of the harm though, which is good.
"Do you think your class well move past mine?"
He says it in a fun competitive voice. Maybe he's excited for a real battle of classes.
"I'm not sure. It's all up to Yuuichi."
"You really put a lot of trust into that boy, don't you? Are you sure that's the kind of person you want as a friend?"
He is referring to Yuuichi's final words before he was taken to the ship's hospital at the end of the first last of the exam.
"Out of the people I know, he is the one person who I could call a friend."
The teacher studies me for a second, to see if I might be lying.
I'm not though.
I decided this years ago.
When I first met Katagiri Yuuichi.

"Well, we're back now. Congratulations on your class promotion. I'll see you later, Ayanokoji."
He walks off inside the boat.
"So you did it."
It's Horikita, she walks up from behind me.
"You did it. I just talked with Kei."
She sighs, but keeps her eyes on the ocean.
"I swear that one day, you and Yuuichi will be able to tell me what your doing. I might even be able to do it better."
A slight breeze blows.
We remain in front of the boat, with the ocean waves crashing on our feet.
Footsteps appear from behind us.
