Chapter 32.5: Class B's Plan

(Third Person POV)

"Kei, are you sure we should be going this way? Class A is probably near the mountains, like Tenji said."

A group of five walked in the forest, to their next location.

Kei, Tenji, Shiho, Ichinose, and Chihiro all walk in a straight line. The forest gets flatter and flatter as you walk east, towards the beach.

The group remains in low spirits. A member of their class was expelled in the first part of the exam. Not just this group, but the entire class had a cold reality check.

"Kei, are you okay? You seem really fired up about something."

In the front of the group, was Shinomiya Kei. He was walking quickly with a smirk on his face.

"Kei, are you even listening to us? Where are we going?"

Silence continued. The sound of the dirt beneath their feet was the only noise present.

Tenji stopped walking.

"Kei, were no longer moving until you tell us where were going."

All members stopped walking. Ichinose hasn't spoken much since they started walking, Shiho keeps consoling her.

Chihiro whimpers silently in the back. She originally joined this group to be close to Ichinose, but everything had gone wrong. Everyone seemed miserable.

"Alright, alright, fine."

He turned around to face his group. Despite what has happened to his class so far, he seemed to be having fun.

"We're not going after Class A, at least not yet."

Tenji scrunched his eyebrows.

"What do you mean? We can't go after Class D, and Class C's hider has already been found. What other choice do we have?"

Ignoring Tenji, Kei turned to Ichinose, who had a downcast expression.

"Honami, do you want to get back at Katagiri Yuuichi?"

Her eyes narrowed down more.

Kei walked up to her, and despite being shorter, leaned his head down to put his face right in front of hers.

"He expelled a member of our class, he embarrassed us, and he made a fool out of Shiho. We might even lose a member of our class in this part of the exam. Don't you want to get back at him?"

"Kei, lay off of her."

Shiho grabbed Ichinose away from Kei.

Tenji walked over and grabbed Kei by his shoulder.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Before Kei could answer, a light voice came from behind them.

"I do..."

"Huh?"

Shiho looked to her side to see it was Ichinose who said the words.

"I do want to get back at him."

"Ichinose...?"

All three members were speechless, except Kei, who now had a spring in his step.

"Me to! We can't get him out here though, but you know what we can do?"

The group was silent, until Chihiro spoke up.

"...what can we do?"

"We can get his friend expelled. Ayanokoji Kiyotaka."

"B-but how? We couldn't even win this part of the exam if we wanted to."

"I have a new established contact in Class D. Kikyo Kushida. His own group member! Ha ha!"

All of them watched as Kei almost exploded with excitement.

"I knew this school was different, but this is just becoming fun!"

Tenji, now calmer, asked a question.

"So, what are we doing now?"

Kei began to walk forward again.

"We're going to meet him. The man himself, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka. He is towards the hilly area near the beach."

"How do you know he is there?"

"Trust me...

A smile spread across his face.

"I know he's there."
