The weekend came by fast and Thalia was more than hyped to go to that party she had mentioned, running around my room and searching for some clothes she could wear since, according to her, even a trash bag would look nicer on her than all the outfits she had in her own closet.

While I just sat on my bed and watched her throw clothes through the room, my younger sister slowly opened the door and stared at Thalia a bit weirded out.

"What's up?" I asked the female who then turned to look at me.

"Mom said that you should leave soon or else you'll be late" Aurora quoted what our mom had said, getting Thalia to panic even more. My mom had heard about the party from that maniac in my room beforehand and saw it as a good opportunity for me to socialize a bit more. I knew that she was a bit worried about me for distancing myself a bit after the death of our father and tried to get me under people as much as possible.

Why could a main character not have more than one living parent you may wonder? Who knows.

I let out a sigh before standing up, grabbing two pieces of clothes that Thalia yeeted around and threw it right back at her face. "Wear that. You have 10 minutes, then we'll leave" I commanded, to which the female quickly hurried to the bathroom to get changed and put on some makeup.

As for me, I just wore a brown and beige skirt with a white shirt and an slightly oversized black sweatshirt jacket. It wasn't that cold yet, so I was sure I wouldn't immediately regret wearing a skirt and quickly put on my black boots after going downstairs already, waiting there for Thalia to finally follow behind.

That was when she almost fell off the stairs when rushing down, hurriedly fixing her hair again and saying her goodbye to my sister and mom, then dragging me behind her out of the house and to her car for that she was the only one from the two of us who had a license yet. I was, well, too lazy to do one.

Though my lyrics were never suited for inspirational quotes on someones wall

Although I was hesitant to admit it — the location for the party was awesome. Because of the still slightly warm air, it was held outside at a huge lake that wasn't too far from my home. The forest that ended just before the edge of the lake was perfectly decorated with lights and a campfire in the middle of it all.

Many people had already gathered when Thalia and I looked around, being greeted by some of those who passed by when my friend was quick to take note of her crush standing and talking with others not all too far away. "oOooO look!" She exclaimed just for me to hear when I turned to the female and reached out my hand.

"Give me your jacket" I said, getting a slightly confused look from her.

"But I only wear a short top, it's gonna be cold after some time"

"And that's why a gentleman would lend you his jacket," I said, wiggling my eyebrows when she finally realized where I was going and doing the same with a grin before letting her jacket in my hand, "Now go and make Changbin fall for you"

With a small fist bump, she skipped over to the guy she knew since elementary school and probably had a crush on since day one.

As on my side, I didn't even had time to think about what to do next when someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around, being face to face with none other than Seungmin and Felix, two old friends of mine and the two other ones besides Thalia who were still close with me even after everything that happened these past few years — what wasn't much but still.

"Wouldn't have expected to see you here" Seungmin exclaimed, happily grinning as I smiled back at him and Felix.

"I'm just here for support" I sheepishly laughed when the three of us looked back at Thalia when Changing had just gave her his jacket — the female looking as if she would explode from how flustered she was. The two males at my side had known about her liking towards the black haired boy for a longer time now already as well. Maybe because I had told them or maybe because I've never seen someone being that obvious about it. I was sure that more people knew about Thalia liking Changbin than about my undying love for chicken nuggets.

"How have you been?" Felix then suddenly asked, looking back at me as I gave a small 'good', a smile adoring my lips when I really meant it this time. I knew I had caused these two a bit of concern when I refused to talk for a while, but things were getting in order again and returned to the way they were before.

I had my fair share of the depressed Bella Swan era and deemed it enough now.

"How about you two?" I returned the question, getting the two to groan and whine about how much school work they had to do, getting a laugh from me when they just continued their rant for minutes on end.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Felix suddenly spoke up yet again, remembering something when Seungmin and I looked at him with raised brows, "I wanted to introduce you to my friend" he announced, quickly taking my hand and happily leading me into the crowd when the other boy just followed behind.

It didn't took long till Felix came to a stop, my eyes just slightly widening when his apparent friend had turned around towards us.

"Nova, this is Chan. Chan, this is nova" he introduced, the male in front of me reaching out his hand to take mine when I did the same. Just that he apparently wasn't going for a handshake when he suddenly pulled up my hand in a gentle manner, leaning down a bit and placing a small kiss on the back of it before smiling widely.

"Nice to meet you" he spoke, leaving me in a state of shock. Was that really the same person who always looked so gloomy and down whenever I saw him in school?

„Nice to meet you too" I mumbled, trying to process this change in aura that he had. Chan still looked kinda as if he was living in someone's basement or something where he didn't got enough sunlight and definitely not enough sleep, but his smile definitely made up for it.

Maybe he wasn't as bad as I thought.

But what the fuck were his lips so soft for? Tell me your secret mystery man.
