Nova's POV
Music was blasting through the speakers placed in our living room when Aurora and I were on cleaning duty, singing to our hearts content when I was mopping the floor and my sister washing the dishes in the open kitchen. Our Taylor swift playlist was put on repeat when I was only barely able to hear the knocking on the door, hoping that it wouldn't be our neighbors who were complaining about the music when I was instead met with Felix and Seungmin.
"Guys!" I cheered, letting them enter without further questions. They sometimes came for a surprise visit when they were bored and they probably heard Taylor singing from three blocks down the road.
"[ y/n ]! Do you already have your costume for the party?" The former asked excitedly, not wasting another second when I turned down the volume of the music a bit, receiving a groan from Aurora.
"Actually yeah, Thalia and I are doing a partner look. You're gonna see what it is on Halloween" I said, continuing to clean the floor when the two sat down on the couch.
"Oh Come on," Seungmin pouted, fishing out his phone and showing a photo of him and Felix posing in the costumes they apparently bought, "Felix is gonna be Jason Voorhees and I'm Ghostface" he announced, happy with their costume choices.
„They look pretty good" I referred to the outfits, continuing to run through the living room and cleaning everything.
"You should take your sisters snake as part of your costume," Felix chimed in, grinning before opening a game on his phone, "Then people would be distracted from the lack of an actual disguise"
"Hey, I have a costume" I spoke, hearing my sister calling from the kitchen that no one would take her pet out of the house.
"I still can't comprehend that Halloween is just like two days away" Seungmin then spoke, staring up at the ceiling for a moment when I could do nothing but agree with that statement. With everything that happened, this month passed way too quickly but what was to come was still slightly scaring me.
Not only was I told that there was some crazy old geezer wanting to revive his past 'lover' who juts happened to be some kind of doppelgänger of mine, but also was I reminded that Changbin probably had a hard time right now as well for that he had no choice but to turn into a werewolf when full moon arrived. Not that it was the first time or that it was affecting me in any way, but knowing about that struggle of his made me feel uneasy.
He shouldn't be alone because I heard it was a pretty painful thing, but then again — I wasn't planning on dying just yet and standing next to a werewolf was not exactly a good condition to stay alive.
"Yeah and then it's November" Felix stated when all of us let out a small 'ohh' in realization. Maybe it was already time to look for Christmas presents.
"Well, anyways, Thalia is gonna come over soon as well just so that you know" I informed the two, placing the mob in my hand back in its place and plopping down onto the couch besides the two. I still felt really bad about what happened — aka me not telling my friend anything of the important shit. On the other hand, she was probably still under the control of Hyunjin, so I would have to be careful, but I wanted to make sure that she was okay. She acted as if nothing happened and so did I.
„I'm surprised that she still want's to go to the Halloween party despite Changbin not coming" Felix spoke when Seungmin just laughed and nodded.
"I see her sulking the whole evening though" he claimed and I couldn't really deny that because there was a great possibility that she would — especially when drinking a bit too much alcohol and becoming more emotional than she was already.
"You guys are so annoying," I heard Aurora muttering when she passed through the living room, obviously finished with cleaning the kitchen, "I'm going upstairs"
"Don't forget to feed Kaburamaru again!" I called behind her after that lazy copy of myself tends to forget that. Who could blame her though, it was only about once in two weeks that that snake needed some food.
"I won't!" She yelled from upstairs and shut her door loudly.
I just laughed, then staring up at the ceiling when Seungmin started to comment on Felix's game and how he sucked at the gameplay, causing the latter to almost smash his phone against the male's head. The silent music was still playing in the background and I wondered how many of these peaceful moments we could spend together anyways, because my gut feeling — for some reason — told me to enjoy it as long as it lasts.
And then ‚how do I say goodbye' by Dean popped up from the queue that Aurora had probably put it on and we could all could just start crying in that instand. Oh how I hate sad songs.
