Thalia was all jittery the next day — not because of our recent situation of which she, in fact, didn't even knew of — but instead because of Changbin literally following our every step. She had no idea what the reason for his presence was, but didn't really question it either when she was simply too excited.

„Binnie, are you coming to the Halloween party as well?" The female asked with glimmering eyes, skipping along the two of us when Changbin and I were rather tense since the morning — not knowing what to expect for the day.

The male however, didn't took long till he shook his head, causing Thalia's happy energy to go flying out the window in an instand. "I have something else to do" The boy reasoned when I spared him a glance, remembering that the hunter's moon was exactly accruing on Halloween aka when the party in school would take place and as a werewolf — I was certain that he really had more important things to do... like... I don't know, howling to the moon or something.

"I'm gonna go and fill up my water bottle, you can already go to the class. See you later" I then declared shortly as Thalia seemed a bit disappointed for the fact that Changbin wasn't coming to the party that she was already so excited for. She let out a sigh before mustering a smile and saying her goodbye.

"Well, see you later then. Changbin, you gonna come with me or—"

"Ah, I think I should go with Nova" he said, an apologetic smile painted on his lips when he quickly left and jogged over towards me, the both of us trailing down the hallway. I wasn't actually gonna fill up my water bottle but instead needed to get away from Thalia, not wanting her to get into any danger. It was now or never.

The next lesson quickly started when the two of us stayed behind in the now empty hallways, a slightly more separated part where no classrooms were in use at the moment when the male at my side was already narrowing his eyes. He probably sensed a presence, what indicated that I had guessed right and either Hyunjin or Minho were actually never far away to begin with — just waiting for us to call them.

"You wanted me to come, so let's make this quick" I called out, getting slight chills at the shift in atmosphere when a silhouette appeared in the corner of my eyes.

"Ah? What's that? Brought a little chihuahua as guard dog?" Hyunjin giggled, stepping out of the shadow that was added for dramatic effects.

"Tsk. You're in no place to speak" Changbin spat, visibly irked when Minho appeared behind his comrade — his iris glowing in an honey like hue that was so different from all the others. Was he a werewolf? No, definitely a vampire. Maybe both. I can't decide sometimes as well, so I couldn't really blame him.

"You still have the rings?" I asked, chills running down my spine when I wanted to desperately get out of the situation that was just provided mere moments ago but its tension was almost unbearable.

"Of course. I'm a man of my words," Hyunjin spoke, showcasing the fancy three added rings on his slim fingers, "Come and get them yourself if you are so desperate to get your hands on them"

Sighing at the playful smirk that made its way onto the male's lips, I was about to step forward and try my luck but was stopped when Changbin placed his arm in front of me and prevented me from doing so.

"I'm gonna take them" he muttered, stepping forward himself and just stopping at a still great distance from Hyunjin who seemed to be not so amazed with the action.

"You guys are literally no fun," he mouthed, his hand dropping to his side when his eyes darkened,"fine, I'll do it myself"

Wait, Thanos that you— a gust of wind hit my face when I suddenly felt the presence of two surrounding me, looking up to see Changbin with his hand outstretched to grab Hyunjin's neck — who had apparently sneaked behind me and was in return tightly holding onto the wolfs neck — and me in the middle, enclosed by their arms that were practically holding my head in between them. Kinda kinky...

I didn't knew what Hyunjin's expression was, but the male in front of me was definitely not happy at all — his eyes narrowed, jaw clenched and veins popping up not only on his forehead but his bare arms.

Sucking in a breath, I turned around, being faced with the vampire who seemed to be not in a better mood as blood dripped down his pale skin from how deep Changbin had pierced his nails into his neck and was, in fact, still doing. "You should think about other ways to get in touch with people — like, maybe not steal their stuff and threaten them" I muttered, feeling like someone should teach the blonde how to properly interact with others so that they wouldn't hold a grudge against him.

Taking his free hand in mine and slipping the silver and gold accessories from his fingers, he didn't seemed to protest but rather stiffen upon the touch. "I'm taking that with me now. You should seriously think about apologizing even though I feel like it's nothing that you usually do" I spoke in a calm manner despite my hands slightly shaking and I was pretty sure that Hyunjin caught up on that.

This was a scary situation after all, especially for the fact that I was the only mortal one who could die from a single hit on the wrong spot of the neck. Man I was do scared I could've pissed my pants.

"Let's go Binnie" I muttered, ducking under his arm and eying back to the place where Minho stood before, but he was nowhere in sight ever since the two other boys felt the need to come a bit too close to me for my liking. Changbin slowly let go of the Vampire when the other did the same and retreated when the two of us left the blonde standing alone in the hallway, wiping away the few red droplets of blood that emerged from the rather small injuries that were already closing up again.

It was silent for a moment when we walked down the still empty hallway, my hands clasped together in an attempt to stop them from trembling, what proved to be useless. The rings already stuffed into my pockets. Without a word being said, Changbin took one of my hands and squeezed it in an reassuring manner, his eyes not leaving the hall in front of us for a second though.

Relaxing a bit, my head hung low at how much trouble I caused the male, despite him saying beforehand that he had no problem with helping me out.

"Thank you" I spoke, just getting a small chuckle in return when the two of us returned to our classroom, having to apologize to the teacher for coming in late.

Thalia still looked all gloomy, probably from the former information that the Halloween party would be a complete flop for her.

Poor girl.

The people are bad and the world is fucked
