Chan had warned us just yesterday about his two other friends and ever since, Thalia appeared to be a bit more paranoid than ever before. She looked suspiciously at everyone in school who she didn't knew and refused to go anywhere else than her home or the school ground, for what I practically dragged her to the bar today together with Felix and Seungmin. She needed to relax a bit. Sure, things seemed a bit risky but I didn't wanted her life quality to be drained just because she got involved into this mess.
"Did something happen? Thalia you are literally acting as if someone wants to kidnap you" Seungmin spoke when he had observed the female's actions over the day. She appeared restless while for me, the information of danger being near was still not exactly sinking in.
"No no, it's fine. I just heard that, uh, old acquaintance are visiting again and I really try to avoid them" she lied, hoping that the boys wouldn't get behind all this.
"Oh, by the way," Felix then spoke up, poking the salad in front of him with his fork, "did you hear about the Halloween party of the school? We could just go as group"
Thalia was immediately torn out of her antics when she heard about the party and I knew exactly the reason why. This girl loves parties for the sole reason of seeing Changbin there and talking to him. I had no idea why she wasn't just taking the next step and asking him out, but it seemed that these small interactions were enough for her.
But that was exactly something I saw as positive at the moment. I knew that Changbin was a werewolf and wouldn't really want Thalia dragged right into the next chaos.
"I guess this fangirl over here has other plans but sure, I'm gonna go. Oh, maybe Chan and the others want to come as well" I pointed out but Felix seemed to hesitate for a second after hearing these words.
"I mean, sure they can..." he said, getting more silent which each word. I could just wonder what it was that was bothering him since he got along with the boys well. He even introduced me to Chan, so I'd thought he would be more excited to have them tag along. Seungmin just patted the male's back with a knowing look what just confused me more but I just shrugged it off — not wanting to pry into anything.
"But I'm not really a fan of these basic costumes" I muttered when Thalia took a sip of her drink before raising a brow.
"Why not?"
"Have you ever looked at the female costumes you can buy? If you want to go as cat, it's a slutty cat. If you want to go as doctor, it's a slutty doctor, if you want to go as a freaking pumpkin, it's a slutty pumpkin!" I reasoned before dropping my head to the table when my best friend just nodded.
"Oh Nova, sweet little Nova~ that's the whole point!" She cheered when I could see it in her eyes how she wanted to impress the love of her life. I could only groan when Seungmin slightly laughed before coming along with a suggestion.
"How about you just dress up like some character of a show? They usually wear normal clothes after all" he spoke when I thought about it for a moment but quickly smiled at the idea.
"How boring you all are" Thalia muttered, already having pulled out her phone to look for some costumes she could wear when I looked at the screen but could just purse my lips and look straight up again. She really meant what she said when she talked about it being the point to look at least a bit slutty.
But wow. Get it I guess.
"Well then, I gotta go now. See you tomorrow" I said and stood up, getting ready to leave the bar and and go to the boys mansion, paying them a visit and wanting to talk about the things a bit more that seem to be of great concern for the three. Chan had just shortly explained things yesterday but still left a lot of questions open for me. Today the three seemed a bit distanced, Chan and Jeongin acting similar to Thalia — a bit paranoid, while Jisung just looked nervous most of the time.

Knocking on the door of the huge mansion, I expected one of the three boys to open the door as quick as they always did, but was disappointed when I found myself standing there without any answer. Being about to knock again, I noticed the door not being entirely closed and pushed it open myself, being met with the familiar sight of the lounge and hallways that lead left and right.
"Hello? Anyone here?" I asked, entering and looking around. Maybe none of them was there at the moment, for that they must have heard my voice with their superhuman hearing abilities for that I would chop off my hand to get. I'd really liked to know what people were saying about me, thinking I couldn't hear them in the distance.
Letting out a sigh, I turned around and wanted to leave again, maybe coming back later or ask them tomorrow where they were, but just to my luck, someone blocked my way — standing in front of me within a split second just how the three vampires used to do it whenever they wanted to stop me from leaving.
But when I looked up to see who was blocking the way to door this time, I had to realize that it was none of the ones I knew. Instead, I was met with an unfamiliar face.
"Why, hello there" the male said, a smile adoring his lips when he looked down at me. I could just stare at him with wide eyes, knowing exactly who this must be. Chan had given us a detailed explanation of who exactly we should avoid to get in touch with at all costs — but here I was, at a dangerously small distance with none other than Hyunjin. "Nova, right? It's nice to finally meet you~ my name is—"
"Hyunjin... I know" I muttered as a sly smirk made its way into the boys features.
"I see, so the others must have told you about me. I hope it was nothing bad though"
I just made a vague hand sign and scrunched up my nose. "Ahh I Think you'd be disappointed if I tell you" I spoke, getting a curt chuckle from the blonde. I should definitely be more wary around him, but I didn't exactly felt scared despite what the others had told be about him — what was probably a rather dumb thing. "But I have to go now, so—"
"You just came, might as well stay a bit longer" Being interrupted myself this time, I turned around to see who the new voice was when I gulped once another unfamiliar male came into my sight. It must be Minho.
Not knowing what to say, I could only step back when he came closer instead, his eyes just as empty as the ones of Hyunjin till he leaned his head in to whispered something right besides my ear when I could just barely see his face. "It would be a shame for you to leave already" he spoke in a low voice and that was when those blue veins started to appear under his eyes, his iris changing colors as I wanted to step back even further but was stopped when my body collided with the one of Hyunjin who's head leaned to the other side of my face from behind while his hands came in touch with my waist.
I felt both of their breathes tickling the skin on my neck and how they got a bit too close for comfort. That was when the fear kicked in. My blood ran cold and my limbs started trembling when I found myself thinking that this was it now. They would kill me.
And it would have probably been the end of me if it was not for the two suddenly being forcefully torn off and thrown to either side of the house — crashing into the walls and leaving visible traces of the impact when I was suddenly being pulled into a tight embrace, looking up to see Chan narrowing his eyes at Hyunjin and Minho with glowing red iris and veins popping out at his forehead.
"I warned you to not lay a fucking finger on her"
