"Woa, so now you're gonna tell me that werewolves are a thing as well?! What's next? Fairies flying around? Dwarves building their little mushroom houses in the city?" I asked in disbelief, not only because of the Werwolf information but about who it was about. Changbin was a friend of mine for years already and to suddenly get told that he as well was one of the living myths that suddenly appeared was a shocker.

"Don't be silly, Fairies and dwarfs doesn't exist"

"So there are just the bloodthirsty ones? Great, just great" I mumbled the last part, getting a small laugh in return, although it was a slightly sheepish laugh for that he was literally one of the 'bloodthirsty' ones I meant. Not to sound rude, but it was true.

"Werewolves have it easier to get under people. On usual days, they are just like any other human being — not attracted by the smell of blood that runs through peoples veins like it's the case for vampires. They are only dangerous when they really want to, or when the full moon is out. That is the only time that they turn and lose control" Chan explained further when I nodded along his words, trying to take in all the information that I was told.

"Okay, this is pretty much for one day" I then said, looking at the couch table when Chan stood up and sat back next to me, smiling gently when I returned the gesture.

"I'm sorry to burden you with that" he said, obviously sympathizing with me.

"No it's fine, it must be way harder to live with that secret when you have barely anyone you can tell" I said when it was his turn to look down on the couch table in silence. I then let out a sigh before standing up and going towards the kitchen. "Anyways, I haven't eaten anything yet. Wanna help me make some food?" I asked, looking back at him when he just grinned and agreed.

"Should I ask the others to head over here as well?" He asked when I thought about the offer for a moment for saying it was fine. Maybe I should be a bit more wary just after discovering what these people are exactly, but somehow I wasn't. I wasn't scared or anything as I probably should, but I felt as if I was safe around them.

It just took a few minutes till the doorbell rang again, surprising me slightly till I remembered that these three had literally the speed of lighting McQueen. Opening the door when Chan and I had already started to chop some vegetables, the two were standing in front of it, having smiles drawn on their faces.

"Hello there~" Jeongin greeted when I smiled at them and let them enter. Wow nova, great, letting three vampires into your house but get it I guess.

"So, we're here to crash your date or what?" Jisung asked when he saw Chan chopping some carrots in the kitchen when I lightly hit his shoulder while passing by him.

The two quickly went to help us out, getting some food ready within a rather short amount of time as we all then sat on the kitchen isle to eat. "Nova, you should come and visit us more often. It's getting boring with just these two" Jeongin then said when Jisung glared at the remark but I just slightly laughed.

"If you can amuse me" I jokingly said when Jisung then suddenly smirked and I immediately regretted even saying that.

"You would be surprised" he said in a low voice I just stared at him dumbfounded.

The evening went on with us talking about rather random stuff but I also found out quite a lot of things that were clearing up the remaining questions in my head. For example that the house that they lived in was from Chan's family. He was born there and lived there till his last day as human. Being at the end of the family line, it was his to take once his parents had died and he decided it would be a good place to stay at with the rest of the group.

Turned out that he practically took in the vampires who were mostly freshly turned — being Jeongin, Jisung and Minho but he barely talked about the other one named Hyunjin. Chan just told me that they practically turned at the same time, being friends when they were little, but he didn't explained any further.

It was interesting to hear about historical things from those who had actually seen it with their own eyes.

The evening dragged till late hours when my mom and my sister were about to come home and I quickly put away the dirty dishes, saying my goodbyes to the three of them just minutes before my two family members entered the house.

It really was fun — but little did I know that these peaceful hours were not anything close to what was to come.

Doesn't feel like it but everything is going to be okay

I had told Thalia about everything the next morning, just leaving out the part with the werewolf. I didn't really knew if it was a good idea to tell her that, and instead just waited a little longer. Maybe she would find out on her own and maybe it was nothing for her to know at all. But she loved Changbin and I didn't had the heart to break it to her.

She was quick to get over the shock for that things were clear for her a bit already, but actually having these confirmed was still another thing. However, she just warned me again to be careful around them before we started our school day like every other ordinary day.

But sadly the universe had something against it and brought to us the news that had spread like a wildfire over the night.

"Animal attacks?" I asked Felix when we sat outside of the school with Seungmin and Thalia.

"Yea, seems like there are quite a few wild animals going feral lately," Seungmin explained further when he showed me an online article that was barely a few hours old, "they say that at least two people were killed"

"What kind of animal was it? I thought the most dangerous animals around here were raccoons and I can barely imagine them jumping at random people and scratching out their eyes" I said when the two boys just shrugged.

"Don't know. They didn't wrote anything about what exactly it was," Seungmin explained, taking a bite of his sandwich when he scrolled down the article a bit more before sighing and turning his phone off, "anyways, so you guys have any plans for today?"

"Nah, not really" Felix said, opening a game on his phone when Thalia just shrugged and shock her head.

"I'm gonna meet up with Chan and the others" I mumbled, trying to get the tomato off of the sandwich that Seungmin had so kindly given to me. But I didn't liked tomatoes. At all.

The two boys looked at me for a second when Seungmin then hummed in return. "You seem to get really close to them lately" he said with Felix just nodding along.

"They are cool. You get along with them as well, so you have no right to say something against it" I pointed out when the two could just agree and let the topic drop. I really wanted them to know what the three male's actually were, but I knew that it only meant trouble for them. I barely even knew about it myself and everything was going well, but I had no idea how long that would last.

And besides that, the more people knew about these things, the more difficult it was to keep it a secret from everyone else. So Seungmin and Felix had to stay in the dark for that matter as I just hoped that none of them would be dragged into anything if something bad would happen.

And if my grandfather wouldn't have been dead for fifteen years, he'd be saying now
'kids just look at how much time has passed!'
