„What... do you mean?"

"He stood at the bar with the others but then— then the car came and he suddenly was right in front of you" She explained when her panicked expression told me enough to know that she was not trying to pull a prank or anything — she was serious.

But before I had the time to answer, Felix came towards us yet again after he and Seungmin had hurriedly called for an ambulance. The two doesn't seemed to be concerned about anything that had to do with Chan like it was with Thalia, but rather about my condition and the one of the driver, what was a sign that they had not noticed whatever it was that Thalia meant.

"Are you sure that you didn't hurt yourself?" He asked, bombing me with even more questions regarding my well-being when his hands cupped my checks and he searched for even the smallest scratch on my skin. He really was a caring boy.

"I'm fine, I'm fine— god you'll get a heart attack if you continue worrying so much" I said, standing up with his help when I slightly laughed as he let out a sigh.

It didn't took long till an ambulance arrived and took care of the driver who had suffered quite a few injuries, the doctors saying that he was drunk what was the reason for him driving off the road.

I looked at Thalia who appeared to be deep in thoughts before she turned towards me and looked deep into my eyes before speaking up again. "I think I know something that I shouldn't"

Someone who manages to endure all of this

I sat down on Thalia's bed after she dragged me to her house and seemed to have something urgent to tell me. I was sure that it was about Chan after what I had witnessed that day. Things I couldn't explain and things I grew curious about when I wasn't able to just ignore it anymore and shrug it off as something strange but reasonable.

The female sat down besides me and opened her laptop, hastily typing on the keyboard when I could only frown at what I saw on the screen once a website popped up.

"...you must be joking"

"No, I'm serious Nova"

I took it upon myself and scrolled down the website, my eyes flying over the text and taking in the most important things that were written down.

"I know it sounds crazy, but there is no other explanation for what I saw. Chan stood at least thirty meters away, he could never get over to us that fast"

"You think... he's a vampire?" I wanted to make sure when I stared at the picture that was put into the file on the laptop, the old looking painting of a beast with sharp teeth and red eyes, blue veins running under its eyes and blood streaming down its whole body.

"I do. You know that I'm interested in these mythology things, so I basically know everything about them! It's just— I didn't wanted to believe it myself," she started, her eyes dropping onto the picture as well, "but there is no other way I can explain these phenomenas"

I did loved to read about vampire stories and the super natural genre in general, but is she for real?

I scrolled down further on the website, seeing all the headlines about significant properties of vampires. "Unnatural speed, regeneration ability, superhuman strength..." I mumbled and let all these information sink in.

Thalia looked at me as if she was desperate for me to believe her — what I actually started to do. But I needed to prove it before jumping to conclusions.

"Can't we just, I don't know, throw garlic at them and see if they crumble to ashes or something?" I asked, not really sure what to do.

"..."

"..."

"No"

"Well ok, then what do you suggest?" I questioned, jumping off of her bed and running my fingers through my hair when I got a bit frustrated — not knowing what to believe.

"It's said that Wolfsbane is like poison for vampires" Thalia pointed out when I raised my brow at her words.

"And where should we get that stuff?" She didn't said another word when she walked over to her desk and opened one of the drawers at the bottom, fishing out a small box and opening it to reveal some kind of purple herb.

"Don't tell me you're some kind of vampire Hunter or something" I mumbled, taking a closer look at what she called Wolfsbane.

"No, silly, my mom gifted it to me" she explained when I then wondered why her mom gave her something like that. However, I was already convinced to reveal Chan's secret and was glad that Thalia had something of these in her hands.

"Now, how are we supposed to use this?"

"Let that be my concern" Thalia said, closing the wooden box and smirked mischievously at whatever she thought about when I could just sweat-drop at the sight.

And really, I just want to tell you
everything is going to be okay

It was Monday yet again, but this time, there was something I had to do that made the day less hopeless. I was really eager to find out if Thalia's and mine suspicion about Chan was correct or if we just interpreted way more into things than we should. And once I thought about it all more, I couldn't help but wonder if Jeongin and Jisung were connected to this as well. If our thoughts would prove to be correct, then there was almost no way that these two had no clue about it at all.

Heck, they might as well be one of the same kind.

But back to our plan, things were not exactly the way I had hoped for them to be. Thalia had an awesome plan, but I had to do the worst part of it for it to work out — what was to sneak into the boys changing room. Why? To put some of the Wolfsbane into Chan's water bottle before they would start their basketball training.

I made sure beforehand that the herb didn't cause any danger to normal humans, because I was not exactly eager to kill anyone at this point, but after enough research, it proved to be harmless — for humans, that is.

It was still a bit time left before P.E. Would start but all the boys had already brought their things into the changing rooms before leaving again, getting food or drinks when the break was still not over.

Quietly sneaking into the room, I searched for the bag that I saw Chan holding when he entered before and was quick to find it besides the one of Jisung and Jeongin. Opening his bottle that was filled with water, I hastily put in the Wolfsbane we had prepared and closed it immediately once everything came in touch with the liquid.

Standing up and wanting to not waste any more time, I was about to run out into the hallway again when I heard the door open and people entering the changing room.

Shit, I'm screwed

The people are bad and the world is fucked
But everything is going to be okay
