And again, Chan explained his story to me

And again, Chan explained his story to me. It was just like the time he had to tell about the whole vampire thing, just this time — he seemed kind of hesitant not because it was such a big secret, but rather because the poor boy was embarrassed.

But even though the small struggle of getting the words out, he kind of finished the explanation well. Kind of.

I found out that he and Hyunjin had practically lived together as humans — his father being the mayor of town and Hyunjin's father being a business partner of sorts regarding the council, leading to the boys spending a whole lot of time together.

Getting to the girl, she apparently was the daughter of yet another council member and had come into their lives pretty early — getting their attention quickly and leading both of the boys to fall with everything they had.

I learned her name to be Ophelia.

Chan didn't got into too much detail of the story but made sure to say enough for me to understand, telling me how the two boys grew up with the knowledge that each of them were drawn to Ophelia and how they learned about the definite existence of vampires that was already a huge subject back in the days — for that Ophelia herself was one of their species and also the one responsible for the boys turning when they died in the process of protecting her once the villagers found out about her and others true identity later on.

It was really tragic to hear that, especially when the boy had to bitterly tell about the female just using them when they were blinded by their feelings.

Coming to the most recent phenomena, I discovered that Chan did indeed know beforehand that someone with her appearance aka me existed and that it was partly a reason for him to move back here together with the other two who wanted to come along. Main reason for moving however, was that they already stayed too long in another city where people started to notice how they didn't change in appearance no matter how many years passed.

Chan said how shocked he was when he actually came face to face with me — how much I resembled his past lover.

And that was it. Poor boy just fell in love and got his heart broken.

"...how comes that you befriended me then? I mean, if she betrayed you — used you, then I can rather understand Hyunjin's feelings of hate towards me than you getting to be my friend" I spoke, speaking my honest mind when the male's head dropped with an ironic laugh.

"You know how when you fall for someone and suddenly start to be blind of what wrong things they do? And if you have a chance to meet them again after being separated for long, you'd just throw yourself at that person as if nothing ever happened?" He reasoned, hands covering his face when I pursed my lips.

"But I'm not her"

"Yeah, you're not. You're a way better person. That is probably why I don't want to leave your side" he silently spoke when I didn't knew what to say, looking at the male with slightly pink cheeks. Fuck, we do not blush Nova, that's not something we do.

But luck — or something like that — seemed to be on my side when each of us was prevented from saying another word by the ceiling literally falling down to our feet and Jisung flying down right with it, causing Chan and me to stare at the boy with absolute shock.

"Ahhh fuck–" he cursed, eyes squinted when he slowly stood up and rubbed his back, obviously in pain before realizing the stares he received and sheepishly smiled.

Looking up, Jeongin's head popped into our sight when he looked through the freshly made hole.
"Sorry, we were sparring. I guess I'm just too strong" he mockingly chimed when Jisung silently cursed at him, rotating his shoulder a bit.

"Don't get too cocky, brat" the brunette exclaimed, a smirk forming on his lips when he was about to straight up jump to the second floor and start yet another fight with his fellow vampire but was stopped by Chan placing a hand on his shoulder.

A single glance at the elder was enough to stop Jisung from doing another move but instead apologize and starting to collect some of the wood and other materials that were now scattered on the ground as if it was for any use when he carried like two little sticks outside and what I guessed just threw them into the forest.

"Well... thanks for the explanation," I spoke, smiling at Chan who just returned the gesture, "but guess we have to clean up a bit right now" I sighed, starting to lift up what once was the ceiling when Jeongin jumped down and wordlessly started to help together with Chan.

But everything is going to be okay

It took at least half an hour to take the most of the materials outside for that Jisung and Jeongin wouldn't stop messing around. But I, as the responsible person I was, would never take part at such meaningless actions...

"Taste the bitter aroma of failure and destruction!" I yelled, raising a broken plank before dropping the mass of wood under my arms that I carried outside, somehow managing to carry more than Jisung or Jeongin who frustratedly threw the items they had with them at the ground — although I kind felt like the two were letting me win this little contest on purpose.

But Jisung never carried much to begin with, just taking the bare minimum as if he wasn't some kind of Hulk.

"Hey Jisung, has anybody told you today that you're doing a good job?" Jeongin asked, smiling at the male who raised his brow in return.

"No?"

"Think about that"

"Feeling funny today, huh?" Jisung muttered when the other just laughed, continuing to clean up the mess that they created and leaving them to think about what they should do about the hole-in-the-ceiling thing. But oh well, that seemed to be a
You-problem.

Doesn't feel like it but everything
is going to be okay
