I have no idea how, but we ended up with seven people at the bar — pulling more than just one table to another one to fit all of us there, but hey, at least I got under people more. These seven people consisted of, obviously, Thalia and me, the three boys I had just invited and Seungmin and Felix, who Thalia decided to bring over as well.

I would never forget the face she made once she opened the front door of her house and was met with not only me, but these three bad boys standing there as well. It was hilarious.

Although it appeared that she was very much wary about them for some reason. At first I thought it was just her being biased but shorty after arriving at the bar, she had already dragged me towards the restroom and placed both of her hands on my shoulders, a serious look painted on her usual cheerful face.

"Nova, I know this sounds strange, but these three really give me creepy vibes" she pointed out, sounding like 'really creepy vibes' was not even close to what she really wanted to tell me. She looked almost scared.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" I dug deeper, feeling that there was more to it than the usual gut feeling one got when meeting a strange person or something.

Thalia lightly shock her head, taking her hands off of my shoulders and pursed her lips before answering. "I'm not really sure, but there is definitely something off about them" she spoke, trying to convince me.

I thought for a moment about what she said. It was rare to see her having that much doubt about people and I was not that dumb to just ignore it. But on the other hand, these three seemed to be just like everyone else we knew. "Give them a chance for this one day and if you still feel that strange vibe afterwards, we can go on distance" I offered, getting a hesitant nod of her.

Maybe she would be a bit more at ease when she conversed more with them.

Once we walked out of the restroom again, we saw the others happily conversing with each other. Seungmin and Felix appeared to be rather fond of the three already, getting along with them well. We sat down and soon ordered our food when Jeongin started to talk to Thalia, maybe having noticed her unease around them as Jisung had started to converse with me, what was a slight surprise considering that he didn't exactly talked much when I came to them before.

We got to tell them many things about our school and us, but I couldn't help but notice the lack of information they revealed about them. I couldn't blame them for not immediately telling people about their private life, but I found myself wanting to know more. It was strange enough to see three guys living on their own in a mansion that provided enough space for at least twenty or thirty to life in, and that in the middle of a forest to top it all off.

What are they? Vampires? I joked in my mind, taking the last sip of my drink when it was already late enough for us to leave.

"It was really nice today, let's do that again sometime" Felix said with a grin on his lips when he took his coat and made himself ready to leave just as everyone else.

"It really was," Jeongin agreed, a smile resting on his lips when he just put his hands in the pockets of his pants, the cold wind that hit his skin once we left seemingly not bothering him one bit as he was not exactly wearing anything thick, "you guys are fun"

I smiled at them when Thalia then took my hand and bid goodbye — the two of us wandering off already.

"And? What do you think?" I asked when the female let out a conflicted sigh, turning to look at the others who were still standing there and probably not further than twenty meters away when we slowly walked down the sidewalk.

"Ahh I don't know! They do seem quite nice, but that feeling still doesn't go away"

"What kind of feeling?"

"...It feels like death"

I stopped in my tracks for a moment, staring at my friend with wide eyes. Death? There sure are quite some people that I don't like or who give me a strange feeling, but I never go like 'oh yeah, these people smell like death'

Thalia halted a few feet in front of me, looking back with purses lips before her head shot to the side and her eyes widened.

Just when I turned my head to see what got her shocked like that, the bright lights of a car came into my sight when it was about to crush my body in between it and the building at my other side. I shielded my face out of reflex when it was long too late to get out of the way but I couldn't help but think why the fuck would I cover my face? It's not as if it would be of much use when the rest of my body would end up in a texture of pudding.

I prepared for the impact, but even after another few seconds, it never came. Instead there was just a loud crashing sound and what felt like an arm wrapped around me when I had slumped down to the ground.

Looking up, I saw no one other than Chan staring down at me with wide eyes before looking back at the car that had stopped mere inches away from us. Or should I rephrase that; the car that was stopped mere inches away from us. The male's hand was pressed against the metal of the vehicle and had created quite a dent when veins popped out on his skin and a few drops of blood dripping down in between his fingers.

"Are you okay?" He asked, concern clear in his voice when his hand let loose of the car and helped me to stand up — still holding onto me when he took note of my legs still feeling like they would just collapse any second because of the shock.

"I— yes I am, what about you?" I asked, eying his hand, "you cut your hand" I pointed out when he then let it fall to his side and balled it to a lose fist.

"Oh, no I'm fine, I wasn't injured" he said but I knew better than that. He had blood running down his skin just a second ago, so I took his hand in mine and opened his fist, more than a bit surprised when I saw that he, indeed, had no injury. It was all neat and clean.

"Are you guys okay?!" Seungmin ran over towards us with the others following closely behind, all of them staring at us worriedly when I tried to reassure them that everything was fine. Jisung stomped over towards the drivers seat of the car and pulled the door open, grabbing the collar of the man behind the wheel and pulled him out.

"Pay attention to where the fuck you are driving next time" he spat, looking at the man who seemed to be barely by his senses when then a cut opened at the drivers forehead, causing red liquid to run down his face and Jisung to quickly throw him into the car again — averting his eyes for a second before coming back towards us.

"Let's go home" he bluntly said, walking away without another word said. Chan and Jeongin gave me an apologetic smile before the former quickly checked if there really were no injuries on me before jogging beging the other two to catch up.

When I turned towards Thalia, her expression had not changed when she stared at me with wide eyes and a pale face. She looked almost more scared than I was.

"It's okay, nothing happened"

"Chan" she spoke and pointed at the entrance of the bar that was at a slight distance and from where the others came running just now. "How did he—"

"How did he what?"

"How did he come here within a split second?"

Someone, who looks into the future full of hope
