A week had passed ever since Thalia and I found out about the three boy's secrets and so far, things were going well. We met up with them in school after I accepted the weird stares we got and the rumors spreading around since the others didn't seemed all too bothered about them.

Thalia was still not really coming over to them after school, despite the fact that she was mesmerized by the mansion they lived in, so she often let me go alone. But since the boys trusted me, they showed me around the whole house and I had to say — it was fancy. Like, really fancy.

Except for the basement but we won't talk about that.

Besides the good things of bonding with new people, there were also things that got more suspicious every day. Main thing being the animal attacks in our town. They had heavily increased these past days and Chan and the others seemed to be even more concerned than everyone else. Although no one wanted to tell me and Thalia what exactly they thought of whenever the topic came up.

"Nova, Thalia" Chan called out when he and Jeongin walked towards we man my best friend while sitting in our usual spot at the school ground, "We need to talk" he finished when a serious expression was painted all over his face.

"Sure, what is it?" I questioned when the four of us left to a quite separated place, obviously not wanting others to overheat our conversation.

"I need you two to be careful. Better don't go around alone — especially not at night. And don't let any strangers into your house" Chan exclaimed when I just raised my brows. I really didn't planned on letting just everyone enter my house who feels like it, so I didn't exactly knew what the hassle was.

"Okay wait a second — what do you want to tell us? These things are rather common not to do" I asked when Jeongin decide to be the one to tell us instead, their expressions all uneasy.

"You remember that we talked about the two other Vampires who didn't came with us?" He asked, getting a nod in return.

"Minho and Hyunjin, right?" Thalia added when Chan confirmed it for her.

"They came back"

Third person POV

Nova was laying in her bed, writing in her diary just the way she did every evening. Her mom and sister were out again but she decided to stay at home alone, wanting to get some rest. She had spent a lot of time with the others lately and it was draining her energy.

A knock was heard from the front door when the girl perked up and wondered who could be standing at her door that late at night, but maybe it was just her mom who forgot the house keys or one of the boys. They often showed up unannounced but never really that late.

She stepped down the stairs, opening the front door and hoping to be met with someone familiar — but was to be disappointed when a stranger had knocked on her door. The blonde stared down at her with a smile but it felt rather cold when Nova sensed the shivers that ran down her spine.

"Um, hello?" She was not really sure who he was or what he wanted, but he had some bad vibes and it made the female uncomfortable.

"Hi, you're Nova, right?" He asked, the smile still resting on his lips despite his eyes looking rather empty

"Yeah that's me, and you are?"

"The name is Hyunjin"

Before another word could be said, Nova had already slammed the door shut and stepped back from it, remembering what the others had told her about the male in front of the door. He was dangerous, that for sure. But as long as she wouldn't invite him in, she would be safe, right?

Right?

Her mind was wandering but stopped within a split second when a hand pressed against her mouth from behind, causing her eyes to widen when a whisper was heard right besides her ear.

"How rude" was all he whispered before his teeth came in contact with the girls neck who let out a pained scream.

Chan woke up with sweat running down his skin. It was a dream. It wasn't true. Nova was not in danger.

Despite that, he still couldn't help but feel scared — scared for the female's life and everyone around. The two 'friends' of his had definitely returned, he knew that much, and he was also positive that at least one of them would try to get through to Nova for that she resembled the one person so much who they had sworn their life to a long time ago.

The sudden frame of a person came into Chan's view when he looked up to the door with narrowed eyes.

"Hyunjin" he muttered, seeing the man with a smirk standing not far when his arms were crossed and his form was lazily leaning against the door frame.

"Chan" he spoke, starting to walk over to the desk that was placed near the male's bed and roaming his hands through the books and files.

"What are you doing here?"

"Why? Can't I come and visit my friends? I would also really like to meet that little girlfriend of yours" he teasingly spoke as he sat down on the chair in front of the desk and opened a book that appeared to be Chan's diary.

"Don't touch that. And don't touch her. She has nothing to do with any of this" Chan warned when he felt his pulse rising at the thought that Hyunjin was eager to get to the girl who grew quite close to him in that short amount of time.

"Oh? Getting feisty? Is she that important to you?" It was no good. The more Chan would try to prevent him from getting to the girl, the more he would try, and probably succeed. Hyunjin was stronger than Chan at the moment — living of actual human blood while the second had to get going with animal blood only. It was not the same in the slightest.

"Where is Minho?" Chan then asked, ignoring the former question when Hyunjin let out a sigh.

"Trying to change the topic again? Well, whatever. Minho is busy right now — you know what's coming up soon, so it shouldn't be a surprise" he explained when the other male just lowered his eyes and stayed silent. He had no idea how things had escalated with Minho that much.

When he was still only a vampire, things were going as well as they could, but that's the point — he is not only a vampire anymore.

"The full moon huh" Chan mumbled, remembering the accident that caused a change in character for Minho and his life in general. He was a hybrid — half vampire half Werewolf, and the only one of the 'test objects' who was able to escape those who craved for even more power.

Hyunjin then stood up, walking over to the door and facing Chan with his back. "I would be careful, Christopher" and with that last warning, he left.
