Ok that was wild."Whoa, wHOA– hold up, I don't want to pry into anything here but what the fuck" I called, trying to process whatever was going on. Chan looked in between me and Minho, the latter just shrugging and signing that he was not trying anything funny when the older then stopped his gaze at my figure and hastily got me informed on the most important things.
"Remember when I told you about Ophelia? The whole story ended with Hyunjin stealing her heart"
"Huh? So he actually got her to return his feelings?"
"...rather like he ripped her heart out of her chest in a rush of anger"
"Oh..."
"But while vampires usually die when their hearts are removed — Ophelia did not. She was practically protected by one of the vampires we call the 'originals' for that they were the first of our kind to ever exist. They hold much greater power than every other of us and one of them happened to take a liking towards Ophelia, which is why he wanted to keep her alive" The vampire explained, making sure I understood everything.
But what the fuck, why couldn't I pull so many bitches?! Oh wait... maybe I could.
Not waiting long, Chan continued, "Ophelia fell in some kind of coma however and the original vampire wanted to keep her safe and sealed her a tomb, out of the reach of anyone's hands — even his own" he spoke when Jisung then decided to tell the rest of the story.
"Ever since a few decades now, the possibility of her having gained her consciousness again is rising rapidly, so this dude wants to get the seal broken again. Though, this is the first time that everything needed to do so is provided"
Minho then stood straight again, although his hands were lazily put into his pockets. "A blood moon, a witch..."
"...And a Doppelgänger"
Oh holy cow

This was not how things were planned. Although I didn't really knew if there was an actual plan to begin with, but if there was one — this was not it.
Chan said he would go and sort things out, whatever that meant, and now I was squeezed in between Jeongin and Jisung while Minho sat across from us, his arms crossed and uninterested staring into space.
It was already dark outside and the fireplace was lit.
The air was a bit tense for a while till I got bored of it and slid down to the couch table again. "C'mon ladies, it's time for poker" I claimed, hitting the game cards on the table that I had picked up once again when Jisung tried to stop himself from laughing for a second but ended unsuccessful when he as well sat down.
Jeongin seemed a bit concerned for a second, looking up at Minho who stared at me in disbelief before heaving a sigh and sitting across from
me — cross legged with his arms staying in position when the youngest of the boys then followed suit."Do you even know how to play poker?" Minho questioned, raising his brows when he took the stack of white, red and black cards.
"Pff of course I do"
Receiving a skeptical look, he stopped for a second before continuing to mix the thin cards in his hands.
"Fine then. What kind? Texas Hold'em, Razz, Badugi, five-card stud?""Uhh... Bless you?"
The male chuckled upon seeing my confused expression. Of course I did not know how to play poker and Minho knew that. Although I hoped to get through just like I did before with the others who also had no clue on what they were doing, but seemed like I would not go far with that tactic.
"I guess I have to teach you then" he claimed, despite the stares he got from the other two males and moved to show the different numbers and explaining on how they were used in one of the specific games he mentioned before.
It didn't took all too long for that I learned the basics of the game not to be that difficult to understand, but merely hard to combine it with an actual game that was played with other people — especially because it was a lot about being lucky.
We didn't had anything to bet on, so the game was pretty pointless, but we played it even without and kind of enjoyed it. And to say the least, Minho really was not as dangerous and bad as he was described to me before. After he gave me that small info about Ophelia, I already had my doubts but many of the negative thoughts were vanishing slowly but surely.
I could understand though why the other vampires tried to get me away from him for that I was damn sure that he could be a huge danger if he wanted to. And it was not like my first impression of him was the most comfortable one.
But it was actually fun to play with them, and made me forget about all the mess happening in the meantime.
