Hi guys!!! This is the 5th chapter of my story!!!Just so you know in two chapters Magnus will be meeting Dan.I can't wait!

I wake up at the crack of dawn and the sun blooms on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue. The golden fingers of sunlight illuminate our room.Emily's snoring gently and is laughing in her sleep which makes me chuckle.I take of the covers and jump out of bed to.I wander left and go down a floor and turn right countless time and stumble upon the library.Thousands of books kept tidily on their shelves.At the back of the library there are a bunch of multicoloured bean bags lying around.I stroll over to the books and pause randomly.I walk over and run my fingers over the leather books.All of them look so ancient.I pull out a random book that catches my eye and plop myself down on the bean bags and study the images.Letters are jumbled up and I can't make sense of them (9 year old Magnus can't read) but it feels...intriguing. 

Maybe one day I'll find out what the words are.

"Magnus black,do you know how to read?" 

I shake my head.Masato sighs deeply and mutters something under his breath. 

"Okay then.We'll start off with this." 

Masato teaches me how to make sense of all the jumbled up letters. 

"Are you ready to read the first sentence?" 

I take a deep breath to steady myself and read out the sentence.Masato opens his mouth to speak when Philomena interrupts us. 

"Magnus,there you are, we've been looking for you.And what are you two doing?" 

"I was teaching him how to read."Masato explains 

"There'll be time for that later.Come now,the both of you it's time for you first class in the art of self defence Magnus black."Philomena orders 

I nod and follow her. 

"I have high hopes for this little one! He's been proven to have much potential!"Haavik giggles 

"Agreed,and under our training he'll turn out to be the best thief we've ever had!"Kravitz says

"So,do you know how to defend yourself?"Philomena asks 

I shake my head. 

"I only know how to outrun them and steal from them." I reply 

"Okay.We'll start from the basics in that case.First rule: protect the face," 

Philomena goes on stating the rules.She teaches me basic defence,no actual punches or anything. 

Well,that was a waste of time. 

"Well, I'm done waiting! It's time for me to teach you,little one!" 

"The name's Magnus." I mumble 

"Ohhhh~A fiesty one,are we?"He asks in his over the top dramatic voice 

I just roll my eyes and fold my arms across my chest. 

"Okay.Let's just get started with this already." 

"Soooooo,I'm going to be teaching you how to be stealthy!And I just know you'll entertain me!" 

I can't help but think something is majorly wrong with Haavik,he just doesn't act normal. I notice Kravitz snickering as I scowl. Haavik puts on a cloak with hundreds of pockets

"So,in my hand is a five dollar bill," I blink and it's gone.He did he do that so fast? 

"And it's your job to find it.You have two minutes!" 

I breathe in and start lunging at Haavik's pockets.He just blocks me and laughs maniacally. 

"Awwww! Don't get angry! It's not that hard!"Haavik provokes 

I've checked about half of his pockets and only 58 seconds remain.I pluck the five dollar bill out of his pocket and slide under his legs.He snatches it back from me. He starts tutting 

"It's not that easy~!"Haavik laughs like a deranged lunatic 

I growl and scowl 

"You still did well,Magnus but in time I'm sure you'll be even better" Philomena encourages 

"Where's Emily?"I ask 

"She's probably awake now,but she's probably los-" 

I'm out of the door before Storm finishes his sentence. 

"Emily!" I cry.My heart starts pounding in my ribcage.Where could she be?What if the faculty did something with her?I sprint across corridor after corridor and my vision blurs and a lump forms in my throat. 

"Emily..."I croak 

"Magnus?!"Emily calls 

"Emily!"I scoop her up in my arms 

"Emily, don't ever do that again.I was worried about you!" 

"Heehee!Magnus!You worry about me to much big brother!" She laughs 

"I'm not worrying.It's my job to keep you safe." 

What I said seems to make Emily laugh even more 

"That sounds like something that a knight in shining armour would say to his princess!"Emily giggles 

(A/N:Magnus being the knight in shining armour and Dan being the princess but Magnus not knowing it yet be like: ) 

"What were you doing,anyway?"I ask 

"I was just wandering around the school.It's really big!I never thought I'd be able to find my way back!"Emily laughs and smiles sweetly 

"Well,at least I find you.But promise me you won't ever go off on your own and explore without telling me." I insist

"Okay.Promise!"Emily agrees 

I put Emily down 

"So,what did you get up to?"My sister asks 

"I went and wandered around the school and found the libary.Masato taught me how to read, Philomena taught me the basics of self defense and Haavik gave me a weird challenge." 

"Well,how did it go?" 

"Mm...Okay.It was just weird.Espicially Haavik,he's the one I hate most..."I mumble 

"But Magnus if you don't enjoy it you don't have to do, this I'll be fine,y'know?" 

"No,no.It's fine.I don't mind doing this."I lie

Emily and I decide to make our way back to the faculty
