*Dan's pov* 

I drop my sphere while cheering and both Magnus and I bend down to grab it.Our fingers accidentally touch. 

"S-sorry Magnus." I remove my fingers immediately and wish the blood would stop rushing to my face.Magnus grabs it and inspects 

"What's your Bakugan's name?" 

"Drago... it's a red one." 

"Hmm.I can't wait to crush you with my own." 

"Yeah,yeah,yeah.Whatever." 

We watch the rest of the match in silence 

"Hey Magnus...umm,the kiss made everything awkward between us.So...let's just forget about what happened today,and go back to insulting eachother."I suggest 

"Agreed.I don't like this awkwardness.I'd rather be arguing.Let's not tell anyone,either." 

"Yeah." I agree 

Well I'm glad that's sorted!Every time I think back to the kiss,I can't help but feeling a fluttery feeling in my gut...Ew, it's not like I enjoyed it.No. Probably it's normal and I feel that out of pure disgust. We leave the stadium.It's more quiet now,a cat scurries across the road.The sky melts from a red,into orange into yellow. The pigeons start cooing and hopping around the fountain.They're still here!This brings back so many memories from when I was younger after school.

"I haven't seen a sunset in ages." I mumble 

"I haven't seen a sunset before." 

"What??? Really,why?" 

"I grew up in a different part of Los Volmos,the part closer to the city.Never really get sunsets there." 

"You know...we still have time.We can sit on the fountain." 

"Sure." 

I run after the pigeons,shooing them away. 

"Kouzo!Leave the pigeons alone!" He chuckles  while shaking his head 

"Magnus,do you ever wish you could go back to before you joined the academy?I do,sometimes.But I enjoy my life now." 

"No.Life before the academy was...boring." 

"So, how's your sister?"I ask,placing my hand on my chin. 

"She's...okay.Not that it concerns you Kouzo." 

I sigh deeply.I really wish Magnus didn't put a wall around himself like that.There are some people that try to be his friends,but he just gives them the cold shoulder. 

"Where did you grow up?"Magnus asks 

"Around here...I used to play here all the time,with my old friends." 

"What friends?"Magnus teases 

"Oh shut up.Magnus you're so cold it's hard to not get frostbite for being around you too long.And I'm friends with everyone in the class." 

"We're not friends,Kouzo." 

"Yeah,I know.Why would you think I was referring to you?Like I would be your friend.Anway,Kurin and Aay are dating you know!"
