Enemies will be enemies

Hi guys! I'm back with another chapter!Things are going to get pretty interesting soon,but I'm not going to spoil anything!

(Following up from the fight) 

*Dan's pov*  

Okay,what the heck is going on???

I get to class a little early.Riot lifts her hand slightly and then slaps Aay! 

"See Aay? I'm not a pathetic lying bitch.You don't know ANYTHING about me.So think twice before opening your fucking mouth,cause next time I'll do more than just slap you!" She spits

"Okay.Calm down everyone."Crystal blue sighs  

Wow.Okayyyyy.Things must have been real bad for swearing and violence to be involved.

"Okay,what just happened?" I mouth to Magnus and he just shrugs.

Riot stomps to the door and pushes it open.She curls her fists into balls and isolates her self from everyone,leans against the wall and starts chewing gum and blowing bubbles while death glaring at Aay,who only does the same thing.Kurin arrives and Aay walks over to him and they discuss things in hush tones.Probably what just happened.I decide to ask Magnus and ask what happened. 

"Hey Magnus,why were Riot and Aay fighting?" I ask 

"Mmm.All I know is that Riot started swearing at Aay.Then he swore back at her and then Riot slapped him.Then Riot swore some more.I'm not getting involved." He folds his arms across his chest.

"Oh.Yeah...I wouldn't wanna get involved either.I'll ask her about at lunch." That sentence came out way more awkward than I wanted.I dunno,talking to Magnus without insulting each other is pretty weird,and I'm not used to it. He gazes at me,hardly blinking.I feel a bit self conscious so I don't know if I should stars back or what.

"Get lost Kouzo.I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now." I feel our classmates grow quiet and stare at us in dread

"Ugh.You're such an emo loser,Magnus!Why can't you be nice to me for once?" I ask 

"You expect me to be nice when you swap sugar with salt?Like I said Kouzo,just get out of my sight."He scoffs 

"You're always being mean to me Magnus!I hate you because you're never nice to me!Last time I asked you why you didn't turn up to lunch,and you told me to shut up!" Kurin and Aay start mumbling things to each other,Crystal blue sighs and Riot purses her lips 

"Just stop."Riot says 

"Stay out of this,Riot.What I do doesn't concern you.You're always wanting to be better than me.You arrogant fool! I'm the best thief here,so stop hallucinating."Magnus snarls  

"You were jealous of me when I first arrived!You were the one who has to create a big scene and be such a drama queen because you were so jealous as the faculty had praised me!You just won't admit that I'm better, because you're so stubborn!" I yell 

"Why you- You're such a brat,Kouzo!I absolutely hate everything about you, you're so selfish and you only care about yourself.You haven't even stopped to consider how hard I've worked for this,how far I've come.You know,not everyone has an easy life!You just waltz in here,and think you're better than me?Well...I'm proud to say you're wrong.I won't stop until I prove to you-and everyone here- that I'm the best!" 

"Okay,okay.Just stop,we don't need any more of this,okay?"Riot says while stepping in between us. We glare at each other before he storms off.

"Riot,what happened between you and Aay?"I whisper.She says before responding, 

"Tell you at lunch time." 

 The atmosphere here is full of hatred.The events that previously took place hang in the air,but no one dares to break the awkward silence. Philomena walks through the door which only means one thing: 

Self defence. 

*Magnus's pov*  

Riot opens the door and the class follows.Kouzo then comes up to me,and asks me about what happened.I tell him what I know,about the swearing and slapping.After that,I tell Kouzo to get lost. 

"Ugh.You're such an emo loser,Magnus!Why can't you be nice to me for once?" He asks 

Why should I be nice to him?

The faculty used to adore me,and ONLY me.Then he came along,and stole the closest thing I had to the love of a parent.He has no idea how hard I've hard to work for this.I've spent thousands of nights sleeping on the cold,dirty streets with Emily without a roof over our heads or food in our stomachs.I've starved myself on countless occasions,just so my sister had enough to eat.I've had to wear for same clothes for years,until they became so small and torn they weren't even clothes any more.I've spent so long freezing in the winter months,without proper clothing.I've spent so long being pitied by others!And so I'm here,and I'm going to prove to everyone here that I don't need to rely on anyone for anything,and that I am the best here. 

Then Riot comes and breaks up the fight. 

"Okay,okay.Just stop,we don't need any more of this,okay?"Riot says and then I walk off after glaring at Kouzo. Next, Philomena walks through the door. 

"Good morning class." 

"Good morning,Philomena." We chorus 

"So today class,I will be teaching you self defence.I will put you into pairs.Magnus and Kurin.Dan and Crystal blue...Riot and Aay." Philomena announces 

Riot and Aay is not the best pairing.At least I'm being paired with Kurin instead of Dan.  

"Now,go find your partner and sit in a pair" I stay put while Kurin approaches me. 

"There are several types of martial arts,Karate,Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu.Here at V.I.L.E academy,knowing how to protect yourself is key.Our number one rule: always protect the face." 

The rest of it I don't really pay attention to. 

"...So think fast!"Philomena hurls bean bags at us.I catch mine,the class squeals and tries to dodge it.Crystal blue dodges hers perfectly. 

"Very well done,Magnus,Crystal blue.I'm disappointed in the remaining students." Philomena states 

"Sorry Philomena." They chorus 

"Sorry is just a word.Proving it is an action,so prove to me that you are worthy of being here,and sharpen your reflexes.Anyways class,today we are going to be looking at the basics.No need to panick." Philomena teaches demonstrates the basics,she informs us on how to defend and attack.

*Dan's pov*  

Riot and I are leaning against the rails on the roof. 

"So why did you and Aay argue?" I ask 

"At first...it was a joke.We we're just teasing each other and messing around.Maybe...Maybe I took it a bit to far,and then it got serious.He insulted me,my family and my life.I was so angry and I just...slapped him." Riot sighs 

"Oh.Well,just wait a couple days for him to cool off,and then apologize,if you feel like it."I suggest 

"Hmmm.I should.Thanks for listening.I should try.Why do you and Magnus hate each other anyway?" 

"Well,I know Magnus better than anyone does.But...he hated me since I first joined the academy.He's just jealous that I'm way better than him,and much cooler.I hate him because he's always rude to me and he's so arrogant...and he's just a general pain." 

"Huh.Well,makes sense I guess.Must be hard to share a room with someone you hate!" 

"You bet it is."
