She walked outside in search of the shadow, making sure to not lose sight of it. It lead her away from the noodle shop, taking weird turns no destination in mind. A sudden shout caused her to turn into a dark ally way, were only dumpsters and scrapped junk resided. She stood silently waiting for the familiar voice to shout again. A dark matter formed on top of itself, mixing and swirling within the shadows of the walls and dumpsters. It began to grow and morph into an entity. Creating an exact replica of Macaque. She walked towards it cautiously. "Six Eared Macaque..?"

He hummed playfully, leaning backwards on a wall. "Hey (y/n), you get any information about our little successor?" His voice was distant, almost below a whisper. She stood in front of him, wrapping her arms around her waist. "He has only just begun to train under Monkey King–and," Macaque cut her off, blowing a raspberry. "Oh–pfft, I could tell that by just looking at the kid," he proclaimed pacing slowly in front of her. "It's no wonder the kid can't pack a punch. Yet alone land one, you know I got to train him today..Apparently, Monkey King hasn't been such a good teacher." He chuckled mockingly, she smiled grimly.

"I was introduced to his companions, earlier today." She hummed. He stopped mid-step, glancing at the woman. "Oh..do tell," he spoke amusingly, his tail swiping at the floor like a cat. "There is a woman, Mei, she is his closest friend, there was also a man his name is Tang.." she trailed off as she thought quietly to herself. Macaque noticed her quick silence and peeked at her, she bit the inside of her cheek. Her gaze was to the side as she continued briefly.

"Six Eared Macaque..why did you not tell me that the Flower Fruit Mountain lied here?" She asked, turning to stare at him. Macaque raised his brows then sighed, annoyed, "It must've just slipped my mind." She stared at him a little longer before muttering a soft, "Oh.." he sensed her lack of confidence in him and continued, "Listen it's not that I don't trust you. I just believed it was unsafe for you to know since you've been reborn into this world and all. I also didn't need you to go hunting for Wukong behind my back." Disclosing his last sentence quickly. She nodded understandingly.

"I see. Thank you for having my safety at heart, Six Eared Macaque."

"Yeah, yeah it's nothing."

He grinned at her, disappearing for a moment. "Anyways, how would you like to train with me and the kid, he's coming back tomorrow and having another person to train with would benefit him and you." His voice mimicking an echo. She glowered, as he appeared behind her, "Not possible." He huffed, as she turned to look at him. "Strength is key when it comes to Wukong, you need this." His voice strict, (y/n) rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I already am fit enough to be rid of Wukong and his apprentice." Macaque scoffed, stepping closer hoping to snap some sense into (y/n), "Oh, please. You can barely use your magic without even passing out, and if you haven't noticed your glamor has been off for a while now. Your getting weak."

He declared, she instinctively moved her hand to where her horns resided then looked to her hands, sure enough dark etchings stretched across her skin. Her eyes hardened, flashing an intermediating green. "Monkey.. my power is far beyond yours. I do not wish to train with Wukong's apprentice. That is final." Macaque rolled his eyes, giving her a death stare. "I don't know when you became all high and mighty, but you're going to go." He remarked, sternly. She turned her head to the side, ignoring his witty comment.

"So you're saying you can't beat Wukong's apprentice? What a shame..and I was hoping to see what you're really made of."

He was sly, choosing his words carefully to agitate her. Low and behold it worked. She sharply turned her head as he spoke, glaring at him. "This will be the only time." He hummed satisfied with her words, "Whatever floats your boat." He grinned as his fathomed form dispersed back into the shadows. She scowled making her way, slowly, back to the dojo.
