She lifted her face, a pond laid in front of her. Leaves floated on top of the surface, peaceful and statute. Surrounded by hundreds of narrow foliage, stretching before her. The trees were ancient, timeless as they disappeared into the sky their roughness had been worn down by the soft greenness of moss that had begun to slowly fade away. The ground below her was cool and wet created by the morning dew. She scanned her surroundings. The branches creaked, as the wind whistled disturbing the fallen leaves. She glanced around once more, walking towards the pond. Stopping once she could see her reflection in the clear, pristine pond.

Her horns sat atop of her head, the same rings in place. Her hair was left unattended, unruly bits stuck up. Her forehead jewelry hung loosely. A white crystal centered in the middle, gold making up the chain. She was adorned in clean, beige traditional clothing. Her eyes wandered to her back. She shifted slightly, turning her body to get a better look. Arching behind her were twin peaks of the softest black, the feathers smooth and well-oiled. The sharp slightly rounded tips spoke of their broadness. Her wings were nearly as tall as her body, arcing off her back like a concave reflection.

She flexed her wings, flapping them lightly. The pond rippled as she did. Intoxicated with her wings, a boisterous laugh broke her out of her trance. She turned sharply, eyes rather accusatory. A person stood a top of a tree branch, crouched and amused. Their face was covered by the shade of the trees, making it difficult to see any of their features. The stranger stood, "Some place you have here."

"You do not belong in this forest. Leave now." Her voice was strong and authoritative. The stranger hopped off, landing across from her, with ease. His tail swayed from side to side. A golden chest plate, as well as traditional clothing, accompanied his warrior attire. He was covered in light hair all over his body, a pink marking of sorts around his eyes. Her eyes widened slightly, she had never seen such a creature before. It was intriguing.

"I am searching for a nymph. You haven't happened to see one, have you?" He paced slowly, watching her attentively.

"How did you find this place." She demanded. Her wings bristled, agitated. He stopped before easing his hands over his head. Resting them behind his head. He shrugged, grinning at her. "It was not that hard. Especially when said forest has a magical barrier."

Her head was heavy. The sharp aches lulled her out of her unconsciousness. She stirred groggily, groaning softly. It felt as if she had been sleeping for centuries. Disoriented, she forced her eyes to open. "Glad to see you're awake." He huffed. Jolting awake, she quickly scanned her surroundings. She let her eyes adjust to the dim lighting. He was perked up against a wall, arms crossed. She exhaled, placing her hands on the cool concrete, pushing herself up. She quickly halted as a bind was wrapped around her torso and arms. Sustaining her from moving. He pushed himself off the wall. She frowned, looking up towards the stranger as he paced in front of her.

"Call me Macaque, Mistress. If I had known you would've been this difficult then I would've prepared before hand. But oh well, am I right."

His voice was tense and slightly aggressive. His tail swept the floor every now and then. She watched him attentively.

That's right.

She had become unconscious with the mention of Sun Wukong's name. Her mouth tasted bitter, she took a look around momentarily. He had taken her to this, place. The walls were a dark brown, behind him was what seemed to be a training ground. He swiftly bent down in front of her. Crouching, he placed his head in his palm. "You have no idea," He grinned, tail flicking up, "How valuable you are." She shifted, bringing her head closer towards him. "Then tell me, monkey." He chuckled, amusingly. "What great words you use to depict me. Is this what you also called the great Sun Wukong?"

She stayed silent. Her eyes almost touching, who did he think he was. She slowly grew irritated. He noticed the change in her mood, her beady eyes, balled fists. His smile grew twice the size, she is pissed. "My, I guess fairytales aren't all just make believe." She looked him in eye, offended by the remark.

He dares to call me a fairytale!

"Fairytale?" She scoffed, "Monkey, you know better then to cross me. If you know of anything of my fairytale then you should know that." He chuckled, amusingly. "If I didn't know better I'd assume you were making a threat."

"Well do you."

"Do I what?"

"Know better."

He arose, chuckling which quickly becoming a deep uproar of laughter. The magic binds tightened, his laughter ceasing. "You really are something." He tilted his head, smirking. She glared at him, eyes flashing an emerald green. With little strength she had mustered up. Dark, sharp vines erupted from the cement floor. Crawling around her body and across the ceiling. He jumped back, away from the vines, taken aback from the sudden large thorned bushes. His tail thrashed agitatedly, watching as the vines surrounded around her. The bindings soon became tighter and heavier. Pulling her body to the floor. She hissed out in pain, contorting her head to watch him. Through the cracks of the thorned bushes she cautiously awaiting his next move, he poked at the spiked vines before looking straight at her.

"You're making this way harder then it has to be. You're being brash, I just need one thing from you and I won't ever bother you again."

Her breathing was jagged and rough. For a moment, he disappeared. She lifted her head looking around quickly. His voice echoed throughout the room, losing sense on where he was. She felt as if he was everywhere. "Cmon don't be such a downer.. You're going to just love this new power upgrade!" He popped right behind her, she sharply flipped herself around. Watching as he tauntingly made his way to her. He crouched in front of her.

"Look.. I know what Wukong took from you.. I'm not your enemy. He is. I want to help you get them back, but I need a favor returned."

In a puff the binds were gone. He outstretched his hand towards her. She pushed herself up, sitting on her knees. She put her hand out, lost in thought. She hesitatingly looked at him, Macaque, eyes trained. Pulling her hand back to her chest. "What is this thing.."

"An ancient item. I don't quite remember the name, but it belongs to you. But like the thief that Wukong is he took it from you. I promise we will get it back."

It must've been important, important to her? He looks so familiar to him..to Wukong? The name feels so foreign. That name makes her feel sickly.

He sounded convincing and genuinely distraught. She looked to his extended hand to his golden hues. She would never have to see him again if she got him this item. Something that once belonged to her.

"Very well." She extended her arm to Macaque and he shook it without hesitation.
