"You have got to be kidding me!" Macaque paced around his dojo, for the umpteenth time. The sun had set not long after and his momentum was in no hurry to stop anytime soon. His nose scrunched and his jaw tightened. Was it that hard to retrieve a few items? His tail flicked and lashed. Or was it that you had intended on leaving him. Did you see this as a chance to leave him and never return. He stopped before tsking, shaking his head. No..you were smarter then that; hell. You were practically bonded to him. There was no intention to do such a thing. So where were you.

His tail tensed as he went to pick up his shadow lantern from the table it resided on, he watched as it reacted just with his mere touch. Large murky shadows escaped the lantern and danced in a slow motion. "I need to find (Y/n). Where is she." His voice was stern as the shadows quickly morphed and etched themselves across the room covering the entire dojo into a complete and dark abyss. There was moment of darkness before the shadows blanked and created an image on the four walls. It mimicked a private opera box for his eyes only. With Macaque standing in the middle, he watched as the shadows created an image of you.

There you stood, next to DBK, his arms withdrawn to you. He held a small smile as he awaited your hand in his. Macaque's jaw clenched as he viewed the image play out. Maybe he was right; no he had to be right. You indeed did intend to leave him after all. His eyes nearly touched as he looked at your somber look. He was furious. Was that all he was to you? A captor? Someone to toss in the garbage? He watched your image. Your lips moved, but no sound reached him. You smiled somberly, before revealing the dark etched marks that ran across your hands and arms. DBK nodded and spoke. He tried his best to make out your words, with no avail.

"I am bound to the Six-Eared Macaque.." you smiled timidly. You pushed his hand back to him as he rested it by his side. "I see," Demon Bull King stated monotonous. "Well let me make it apparent to you that you will always have an allay with the Demon Bull family." Princess Iron Fan stood by his side nodding firmly, "What you have done for my Husband will forever be remembered." You smiled tenderly, "Your hospitality has always been so kind to me." Red Son watched as you interacted with his parents, your unblemished skin and the horns that sat atop your head. They all were seamless, a natural beauty. His brows scrunched as he looked over your appearance. You were missing something. Your tale did not go unnoticed by him, it was a rare thing to even hear of it after so long. But you had wings. Large, dark wings that stretched down to your feet.

He wondered what had happened, he wanted to ask. But he knew better then to intrude especially in front of his parents. He listened once more, "Your child reminds me of you," His ears perked, "Smart and quick-witted like his mother and a passion much like his fathers. You two have done a fine job in raising an heir to the throne." Red Son beamed proudly as she listed this. Demon Bull King dipped his head in approval, "You are too kind Mistress (Y/n). Please, let us aid you. Just for tonight. You have missed a lot of time, old friend."

She bit the inside of her cheek, her heart felt heavy. "Of course." She whispered. "Red Son will show you to your quarters for the night. Please, rest." Princess Iron stated matter a factly. She nodded as Red Son gaped in disapproval, "Mother I," Princess Iron Fan cut him off with a sharp look; he quickly nodded. "Follow me." They walked out of the room and into a corridor with a vast abyss that laid beneath their feet. Bull clones worked robotically in sync as they clashed into the dirt ground. Her eyes moved to the red-headed boy he continued walking hastily, stopping once he noticed her absence. She stood watching the clones hull and move piles of dirt. "What are they doing?" She questioned as she observed a Bull clone carry piles of rubble to a corner of the hole. The hole seemed to go on for a while.

"Mother and father want to retrieve a box. This is the exact area where it lies. And we are to defeat Sun Wukong and avenge my fathers name!" He triumphed, with a fist in the air. "But these robo-hunks-of-nothings haven't found it yet." He said distastefully. As they tinkered away she nodded slowly, deep in thought. This exactly was what she needed to get away, this could have been her escape to freedom..her release.  But her words went far deeper then just scars it was etched upon her being; her very soul to stay loyal to him.

"Please take me to my room."

They entered a small room with a large bed adorned with red and gold sheets. There was fireplace on the wall next to the bed. "Thank you," she bowed timidly. "Of course, Mistress (Y/n)," he bowed; as well, he bit the inside of his cheek. It may have been an outrageous question but he was curious. And well he decided to speak his mind, "Mistress.." he scratched his cheek, "What.. happened to your wings?" The question threw her off guard.

"My wings?"

"Yes..Mistress."

"Stolen."

He made an 'o' shape with his mouth before nodding quickly leaving her room. Shutting the door softly. She stood alone in the room, the spark of the fire being her only source of light. Her fists tightened and eyebrows scrunched.  As quick as that feeling of fury and hatred had come she released a breath, releasing her grip of her palms and calming her features. She instinctively reached to rub her horn in a comforting way.

"Isn't this a surprise."

The blunt voice made abruptly stop her movements and turn quickly to the fireplace. Macaque's shadow stood ideally, his tail swishing harshly. His purple hues glowing much more vibrant than usual. Maybe it was the lighting? "Macaque." Her breath hitched in her throat, "Why are you here?" She asked cautiously, eyeing him. "I should be asking you that." He hissed, moving out of her line of sight. She turned her head slightly before hearing a low whisper by her ear. "Do you have any idea what I've gone through to get you out of that crystal." She nodded slowly, "Yes and I thank–" He sharply turned her face towards him cutting her off. "Bullshit!" They stood inches from each other staring one another down, her brows furrowed. Was he angry with her?

"Macaque.." her voice was calm and unthreatening. His shadow held her chin. She reached for his hand, that held her face, resting it by his side. She held it for a few seconds longer before reaching her hands over the shadow. Embracing him in a hug. She cried softly into his misty form. Macaque was stunned as the woman in front of him cried in his arms. Slowly he reached his arms around her; wrapping her in his embrace. "This world..is far too cruel." She cried, her friends have aged and grown without her. Her forest, she had not even seen, with no place to call home. She truly was alone. Macaque's shadow sighed, "Cruel, yeah. But.." he tried to search for words that would comfort his companion, "You're not alone?" He moved away from her, watching as she wiped her eyes. "Look I'm not good at this type of stuff.. but who has been here since you've walked this earth. I may not be the most compelling partner but.." he trailed off not know where he was going with his speech.

"You are all that I need, Six Eared Macaque."

Dawn had risen. "Thank you for your hospitality, Mistress (Y/n)." Demon Bull King read the note once more before heaving heavily. "Stay safe." He watched as his drones moved the last remnants of dirt to the side revealing a large, blue box covered in sigils from top to bottom. "Shall we?" He looked at his wife who stood by his side nodding, he turned the key.
