Festivities were being made to celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. The night was decorated with lanterns that illuminated the surrounding streets. Street stands were scattered throughout the entirety of the city filled with an abundance of entertainment. Humans roamed around more foreleg as they walked to meet with family and friends. Fireworks stretched across the sky as the chatter of citizens echoed throughout the city. Some stood by to watch an on going parade of the zodiac. It was by far a perfect night to end the year.
Surrounded by other humans, Macaque and (Y/n) walked side by side. He had made her tag along to venture for a meal. She stayed close to Macaque not use to the multitude of humans in one surrounding area nor the abundance of noises. A large crackle and boom made her look up to the night sky in turn caused her to flinch. The sky was littered in bright colored sparks that created all kinds of shapes and designs. Macaque had explained to her that these were fireworks used for celebration. But she just found them abnormal and noisy.
She looked at him,as they continued walking. He wore a human like disguise and a cloak that covered his abnormalities; that veiled his eyes. While she wore her usual attire except the only difference was her hair was tied behind her. Her hand grazed his as she casually searched of something to entertain herself with. They had stopped in front of a parade. "Why did we come during this time of day?" She asked annoyed, as people conversed loudly. He shrugged his shoulders, putting his attention to the parade. "Best time of year, wouldn't you say."
She rolled her eyes, watching the animals that were supposed to represent the zodiac. A sudden voice caught her attention, "Spider! There's no spider in the zodiac. It's probably just an eight-legged rooster or a–" They stated loudly. She looked towards the "spider" zodiac. A sudden fabric flew into the air revealing an attractive woman with a lower body of a spider, followed by five spider demons. People screamed in fright and some began to run away from the scene. The Spider woman cackled, "Oh, would you look at that? Everyone here to celebrate the year of the spider!" She gleamed outstretching her arms. "Go let them know their queen is back." The demons hopped off of the podium as if activating a multitude of robotic spiders that splurged from the giant mechanical spider. Beginning an attack, that's the small purple and green colored spiders began attaching themselves to any human they could see.
At the midst of the chaos, she spotted a young girl crying, people ran around her paying her no mind. She looked towards Macaque then to the girl. Absentmindedly she outstretched her hand in the girls direction taking a single step forward. She was suddenly rushed and shoved against other humans, making her lose her balance as she was lulled into the sea of panicked citizens. She called out to Macaque but to her dismay she couldn't see him within the large mass. She quickly adverted her attention to the giant robotic spider, as it began to grow dragging out any piece of metal that held an electrical current. Contorting its shape and design to a much larger spider.
She let out a breath, turning away from the spider readying herself to search for Macaque. A deep voice spoke up , "Going somewhere." She sharply turned to the right eyeing the demon. A muscular lavender-skinned Spider Demon that had four eyes and spiky black hair. He also wore ten mechanical spider legs, with four of them for his legs and the rest for his back. "What do you want." She stated, standing her ground. He chuckled amused, "I didn't know a human would give off such a demonic aroma. Tell me human, could you be of demon descent." She glared at him, shaking her head.
He smiled eagerly responding, "That's too bad I was hoping someone as pretty as you would survive." Without warning he grabbed her arms sustaining her from moving. She grunted at his suddenness. Instinctively activating her power, large unruly vines erupted from the ground tugging at his cyborg legs. She quickly broke out of his grip watching as he struggled to free himself. Two of his back legs broke off as he stumbled to remove himself. Going in the opposite direction, she made a quick note to speak to Macaque about all of this afterwards. She ran feeling something slither around her ankle, as she took another step the metal yanked her back causing her to slam onto the ground. Grunting at the fal, she turned her head to take a look at the metal that wrapped around her ankle. Before she could reach her arm to remove it. A splurge of electricity ran through her body knocking her out.

Within minutes she was brought into the spider-mech. "Was it that hard to grab a human girl," Syntax scoffed, walking through the corridor. "She's a demon," his companion replied dryly, "She broke two of my legs!" He boomed annoyed, Syntax rolled his eyes. "It's not as if you don't have eight others.. just put her in the room with the others," He nodded placing and binding her in the netting that powered their spider-mobile.Her head felt heavy. The sharp aches lulled her out of her unconsciousness. She stirred groggily, groaning softly. Disoriented, she forced her eyes to open. The room was dark except for the quick beeps and lights that flickered every once in a while. She forced her eyes to get used to the dark looking around the room as all kinds of demons hung from the netting. She quickly moved her hand, halting as that same netting was wrapped around her torso and arms. Sustaining her from any movement. She had been captured, her eyes glowed green as she began to call for her ivory. An electrical current ran through her body causing her to yelp at the extreme pain. She tried once more ending in the same process. Her body ached as her head lulled to the side. Why hadn't Macaque come to save her?
Two voices could be heard at the entrance of the door. She picked her head up to look at the new demon that had been caught. Maybe Macaque had been captured. The doors slide open; her breath hitched. Sun Wukong. Stood in her eyes spun in a cocoon of spider webbing. She looked away quickly, not wanting to be seen by him. Her body instinctively made itself feel smaller. But it seemed he had already noticed her.
He chatted loudly with the other demons, mentioning the Demon Bull King as well. She wished she had not lost sigh of the Six Eared Macaque, that she had not went to aid the little girl, she did not want to be in his presence nor sight. It was all too painful. A voice pulled her out of her mind, a voice she had wished had not spoken or acknowledged her.
"(Y/n)."
A simple word. Her name. He did not falter nor stutter. He said it with such tranquility it nearly scared her. She made no move to speak to him.
"I..I haven't seen you since.."
He trailed off not knowing how to speak to the woman he had met so long ago. She looked in the direction of where he hung. Parting her lips, "Since you have put me in my imprisonment." She stated coldly, her eyes merely touching. If it was not for the lighting of the room she would have thought his features had morphed into one of pain or grief. But he had showed her long ago that he is none of those things; he continued.
"Why are you with Macaque, (Y/n)? He's.. he's not a good guy, he'll manipulate you and use you until you're no long or use to him. You gotta understand that–"
She cut him off, sharply. "And you will not!" She scoffed, "The Six Eared Macaque regards me with awe and wonder..while you..you disregarded me when I could have given you far more than mere fame and glory." She turned away, furious at his assumption tears brimming her eyes. "You cannot fathom how much I have mourned, what thousand of years of grief have done to me!" A shock echoed through the dim-lighted room causing the demons that surrounded her to groan as the electrical current ran down their spines. Sun Wukong called out to her in concern, observing as her body curved in on itself at the pain.
"Please (Y/n), I'm sorry I really am. Let me just get us out of this situation and we can talk.." She shook her head "No, there is no need for your words of forgiveness.. what you have done is unforgivable." His heart ached, what had Macaque said to you for you to become so cold and distant. It broke him to hear this from you, especially you. Things were different now but he knew that this was not you and he would do anything to retrieve the woman that he had once fallen in love with.
