A new day had begun as the clouds etched across the vast sky; leaving no room for the sun to shine. A chilling breeze whiffed passed her, allowing the cold wind to nestle within her. Large clunks of buildings were scattered about as well as boulders and rocks. (Y/n) found herself climbing up the stairs of an ancient, broken rural climax. Macaque led the way accompanied by Mk who staggered his way up absolutely breathless. Macaque had informed her, before they had left, that they were to take Mk to stop the "entity" that attacked the city a few weeks before.
She kept quietly to herself, not daring to speak to Mk. She refused to make any contact with him, ever since the incident she opted, instead to keep her focus on the large torn debris that were unusually placed. As Macaque turned a corner they came to a halt, stopping behind a large boulder. Mk quickly toppled up the last steps huffing, clearly out of breath, (Y/n) followed behind Mk, features unmoving. They had reached the top. The clouds created a misty, unknowing environment.
The entity sat atop of the mountain; behind the pillar they had stopped at. It sat ideally, unmoving as if it were in a deep slumber. She stared at the creature as its chest rose up and down, causing a low rumble that shook the mountains summit. She moved towards Macaques side as he quickly explained to Mk how he would defeat the sleeping giant. "The smoke monster is actually ancient demon.. a very, very powerful one." She listened half-attentively, as he continued, "We need to destroy it once and for all." Macaque roughly shoved Mk towards the direction of the entity, "C'mon." Mk lost his footing as he sharply turned towards him, "Wait, what!.. Last time I couldn't even hit it.." he trailed off, self-consious of the memory.
"That is true but you've had us to train you." (Y/n) hummed out, uninterested. "That's right! You're stronger now! Don't you feel stronger." Macaque proclaimed placing a hand on his shoulder. Mk looked towards to the demon then to Macaque, anxious. "Remember you are the weapon. Give it everything you got!" He looked to (Y/n), hoping for some sort of encouragement. Her eyes bored into his before she sighed, speaking softly, "You've trained for this..Mk your power is far greater then you know." He smiled at her words, his grin never faltering as he looked to the demon with a new found determination.
Mk stood in front of the entity, taking in a deep breath he uttered a small chant to himself. Hyping himself up, "Here comes Monkey Kid," he spun his staff in between his arms. Sharply swapping it to his left as he leapt into the air creating a crater from his jump in the ground. "Some kid, huh?" Macaque spoke as they watched him. He floated in front of the beast as the creature awoke, its purple hues almost touching. She could feel his power from where she gazed, it was intimidating. Mk confidently rose the staff in front of him. She couldn't shake the feeling that he really was Monkey King's successor. Everything he did screamed Sun Wukong, from his power pose, wielding of the staff, and chants. It was all too similar.
She looked to Macaque as he chuckled to himself, she could almost feel the happiness that radiated off of him. Looking back to Mk; he landed a blow that shook the mere earth. Dark electricity spurred around him as the winds surrounding them picked up. He screamed out his chant as he used all his force to interrupt the "barrier" that was holding him at arms length from the demon. The wind whipped around her dangerously wild as the debris spun around.
The monster morphed into a dark matter that contorted into large untamed bandages that abruptly became a replica of Macaque with vibrant purple hues. The replica aimed for Mk's core; punching him forcefully. The clone opened its palm revealing a golden flame. Mk crashed into the ground landing with a hard thud in front of them. She looked at Mk, a bit concerned as he struggled to stand from the earth. Returning her attention to Macaque, she stood unsurprised of the technique he had used. As the clone flew down gracefully to meet her on the floor. The clone looked at all before looking her dead in the eye it gave her a knowing wink as it bled through the floor appearing right in front of (Y/n). "You know you really are a good kid."
