They sat in silence, across from one another. It was suffocating. Mk had left as soon as the incident had occurred. Her eyes gazed intently into Macaque's, he rolled his eyes as they both sat in the tense atmosphere. A sour face was presented as he scowled at the woman in front of him with his arms crossed across his chest. His tail sharply jerked from one side to the other. "I said no magic." he seethed blatantly, "Yes–I was aware but–" He quickly cut her off, slamming his hands onto the wooden table, "Do you have any idea what you could have done to him, we need him! What don't you understand!"

She scowled at the sudden scolding, he treated her as if she were a child. Unaware of the consequences and reckless. She glowered angrily, she was quite aware on what she had done but to be treated in such a manner was completely unnecessary, she quickly spat out. "If he is such necessity to you then I see no reason to stay. I have all I need to retrieve my wings." Macaque scoffed as she arose from the wooden chair, "You know nothing of this world, you'd get yourself killed."

"I know plenty to know that being with you has gotten me nowhere near in achieving what I need."

He laughed mockingly, "Like you've been any better! I helped you, taught you of this world, your origin! And this is the thanks that I get.." He fumed, how did she not get that all he wanted was the best for her. Sure, he was using her to get a rise out of Wukong. But this, this was just plain on infuriating. They stood across from one another, the fierceness in their eyes hardening onto one another. Her features softened for a quick second, as quick as it came they returned to her scowl. She took a deep breath, eyes gazing sternly at the Six Eared Macaque. "I need some fresh air." She pushed pass the dark-haired monkey and quickly stepped out of the murky dojo, allowing herself to sump onto the wall next to her. She could hear Six Eared Macaque from the room mutter angrily to himself before slamming a door.

She let out a breathless sigh. Dealing with this monkey just became more and more tiring by the second. She turned her attention to her surroundings, observing the hallway she had stepped into. To her right there was a was nothing a gray colored wall but to her left lied a staircase that led to another door. She stepped smoothly onto the staircase. Cautious with the steps she took so she would not bring any attention to herself, reaching the top of the staircase. She stared at the door, hesitatingly pushing open the door.

The bright light caused her to cover them, the door shut behind her as she finally readjusted her vision to the world. Civilians walked around her or bumped into her as she tried to evaluate her whereabouts. The loud traffic noises and chattering among the humans brought a sense of discomfort. She swiftly turned back to the door, almost hesitant to return back. In a quick hand motion her glamor had appeared. She shook off any resistance that was holding her back from leaving, and forced herself to walk in motion with some of the humans. Her mind was clouded as she walked absentmindedly. The breeze kissing her skin as the she let her mind ponder in whatever it wanted to.

Macaque had shown nothing but generosity to her. She vowed her loyalty to him, and yet she was nothing but defiant in what he asked of her. She felt foolish. She never had to deal with her emotions spiraling out of control or outbursts of anger. She wished for a different time, a different era. She wished to be at her home where nothing ever bothered her. Everything felt out of her control and her mere situation was just that. She had no one else except Macaque, he had always been there since she was reborn.  He had never betrayed her.

She stopped look at her dark colored slip-on shoes, why had she been so negative to her companion. She gazed to her arms the dark etchings nowhere to be seen. As if something of the unordinary called for her, her hair whisked into her face causing her to look up. She rose her head allowing herself to push away the unwanted strands behind her ear. She took this time to evaluate her new surroundings.

Large acres of jungle foliage stretched far beyond her vision. Vines hung from every tree.  botanical trees created a sweet-smelling aroma, red-asters littered the ground as moss and grass made up the patches of the ground. She looked above her head, straining her neck to catch a glimpse of the spring leaves that morphed and swayed with the rhythm of the wind. Everything was silent except for the rustle of the leaves. The sun had begun to set and for once she felt as if all was well. The feeling felt nostalgic and for a minute she felt at home. She was mesmerized.

A sudden thump caught her attention she gazed at the large bushes near the border of the forest. The tail of an animal hung out as it shuffled around momentarily. She walked towards the creature, quietly, letting her breath steady. As if on cue, the animal popped its head out of the bush, with its hands above its head; holding a peach. It turned to stare at the woman in curiosity. It was a tan monkey with a lighter coat around its stomach and face. It chirped confusingly as it maneuvered itself out of the bush. It's head was tilted as it finally stood in front of the woman. Placing the peach down delicately, to its side, the monkey walked towards the woman.

She looked back at it smiling softly. Crouching in front of the animal, she outstretched her hand to the monkey. Allowing the room for creature to move closer to her, if it had wanted to. It moved cautiously towards her, stopping at a small distance away from her. It sniffed her hand softly, and nuzzled it's head into the palm of her hand. As if something had clicked, the monkeys eyes widened slightly before it began to screech happily. It's hands went up and down before it retreated into the forest, quickly returning back to fetch the peach. The woman chuckled to herself as she watched the monkey screech all throughout the forest.

She looked deep into the forest. Not daring to take another step closer. The sun was long gone as she took a final glance at the forest. Her smile faltered as she thought of her companion, taking a deep breath. She let herself return back to Six Eared Macaque. He was her only friend and she wasn't going to lose him.

"Are you sure this is where you saw her!" He exclaimed, The monkey chirped happily as it munched on its peach. He huffed at the answer as he pulled a vine away from his view. He stepped out quickly looking around at the open land; there was no one. "Alright little guy, you better not be pulling my leg.." he trailed off as he looked to the ground. Vibrant purple lilies; rebirth. He scrambled to the flower, delicately holding it in his palm. "It can't be.."
