"I CAN'T do this, Sebbie! I can't! Tell me, this is not really happening, right? I'm just dreaming right? Why the people threw me out of my own palace? MU is my palace, not that slapsoil university!"

Ariston was just staring at the soccer field while Patty on his side was busy prattling about her problem being chosen to be sent to St. Anthony University for that exchange student program. Agang-aga ay doon sila nagkita ni Patty dahil hindi raw ito nakatulog nang ayos kakamaktol. Kaya kahit inaantok pa, wala siyang choice kung 'di pakinggan ang paulit-ulit nitong paghi-hysteria. Iyong totoo, wala sa sinasabi ni Patty ang atensyon niya. He had two major concerns at the moment. Una, ang offer ni Chase na maging parte siya ng soccer team. He had the whole day to decide. Pangalawa . . . Why on earth I let her steal my first kiss experience? Hindi niya matanggap na ang unang babaeng nahalikan niya sa lips ay ang babaeng gusto na niyang ihagis pabalik ng Bukidnon kung puwede lang sana. The image of Deyanne, with her pinkish cheeks and wide eyes, kept on haunting her.

"I really can't do this, Sebbie!" ungot pa nito.

"Ahuh." His eyes were still on the soccer field. He kept on nodding and replying 'ahuh' in whatever Patty was saying. Hindi naman niya naiintindihan ang pinagsasabi nito. He was drowning literally with his own worries.

"I can't believe you too."

"Ahuh."

"Are you bothered kasi nahalikan mo si Deyanne kahapon?"

"Ahuh—wait, what?" Binalingan niya ito. Nakahalukipkip ito at nakataas ang kilay sa kanya. "Why will I be bothered with that kiss?" Ikinunot niya ang kanyang noo upang itago ang kanyang totoong nararamdaman. "I'm not thinking about Deyanne, okay?"

"Kung hindi si Deyanne, then what? Or who?"

"It's Chase."

Napanganga ito at napasinghap. "I didn't see that coming."

Napakunot ang noo niya sa sinabi nito hanggang sa ma-realize niyang mali ito ng pagkakaintindi. "Hindi gano'n iyon! Katkat naman!"

Tumawa ito and he still found her look lovely that way. "Malay ko ba?" Tiningnan niya ito nang masama. "Fine. So, what's the soccer team captain has to do with you?"

"He's offering me to be part of the soccer team." Ikinuwento niya rito kung bakit nakiusap si Chase sa kanya. It was all about the members who were about to lose scholarship if the team could not meet the required members of varsity players. He also shared her his thoughts about it.

"If you don't care about the scholars then why are thinking about it that much? You want to join the soccer team?" tanong ni Patty.

"I am thinking if getting dirt while playing soccer can heal my trauma. I want to be healed, Katkat. I mean, hanggang kailan ba ako magkaka-panic attack tuwing mapuputikan ako? I've been keeping this secret to everyone for so long. The doctors didn't do anything that can help me. I want to try beating this trauma on my own."

"Medyo mahirap iyan. But, who knows? Maybe, you're right. I'll support you."

"Thanks, Katkat. I'll support you too in your journey to SAU." Sumimangot ito at tumawa naman siya.

"I'm gonna die there! I swear!" eksaheradang hirit nito. "Save me, Sebbie!"

"Sorry, I can't do anything about it. Tawagan mo na lang ako kapag nalulungkot ka doon."
