Summary

Someone once told her that superpowers are for protection, someone once said she should become a good person. So that became Six's goal.

☆《Notes》☆

- This is not a new chapter! It just tells about Six's past, before the apocalypse and also the events in Little Nightmares 1 and 2.

- I know Six hasn't even appeared in Hell Bent (not counting Shadow). It doesn't have any spoilers anyway. There will be an extra chapter about Seven and Mono's past, which I will write when I have time.

This is simply an early gift for Halloween 🎃👻

- Sorry to have to delete and repost this chapter! I've edited it, there are some mistakes in the characters' names. Some details have been added.

The gentle autumn sun has quietly passed, giving way to a gloomy sky, the sun has been absent for many days, hidden by gray clouds. Before the blizzard hit, the whole city was subjected to strong winds accompanied by torrential rains day and night, persistent rainstorms that seemed like they would never stop. The snow has stopped falling today, but the weather is still bitterly cold.

If it was before the end of the world, it might be close to Christmas now. In the past, every year on Christmas, the street was always decorated with colorful neon signs and lights. Even when it was dark, the street was still bright and bustling with people walking like it was during the day.

Now the street is just the ruins of a lost city. The heavy snow almost buried everything, dyeing everything a white.

The children's singing passed into Six's ears, not near or far. Six looked in the direction of the sound and saw the light of fire. The children hid inside a nearby alley, huddled around the flickering fire. They hugged each other, commemorating the peaceful days lost with Christmas songs.

They sang very quietly, because they did not want to attract the attention of the monsters. But Six's hearing is still good enough to hear.

She stood near the alley. She seemed to want to head towards the alley, but she took a step and then slowly backed away.

Six feels like she doesn't belong here.

Because the winter weather was so cold, Six couldn't stop shivering. Her body was slender, thin as if she had not eaten enough, her skin was pale, her hair was blown by the wind like a bird's nest, her long uncut bangs were so long that nearly half of her eyes were hidden. Six looked pitiful like an abandoned newborn animal.

Six's hands grabbed the hem of her sweater, sometimes tightening it, then releasing it.

"Be careful!"

Six suddenly raised her head to look in the direction the sound was coming from. It was a child about her age, holding a bag of food in one hand, the other reaching out to catch his friend, who had slipped and nearly fell. The friend smiled in thanks, then followed the boy into the alley.

The boy noticed that Six was still standing like a statue, eyes fixed on this side unblinking. He glares at Six warningly as if she were a threat, then turns to go back into the alley with his friends.
