Jennie would lie if she said that the possibility of not seeing Lisa again didn't inflict fear in her chest.Jennie was scared.
She was so scared that the moment she heard those words, she kicked that plan out of her head. She no longer had any plan of letting Lisa go, but when she remembered the sad tone and how sad Lisa looked at that time, she again considered letting Lisa go see her family.
Now, Jennie was torn between letting Lisa see her family or keeping her to herself.
Because Jennie wasn't feeling good, she just went home with Leo and Luca after her conversation with her werewolf servant and arrived at their home at lunch time.
The brunette skipped lunch and stayed in her room the whole time, still hasn't gotten herself out of her dilemma. She tried to read some books or keep herself busy with the flowers in her garden, but nothing seemed to work out. She still couldn't find peace and ended up just leaving her room to go to the garden to stare into nothing.
Lisa knew that something was bothering Jennie, and she couldn't help but be worried because she thought she was the reason for it. Well, she isn't wrong about that because she was indeed the one who's messing with Jennie's mind now, but not in a bad way like what Lisa is thinking.
Lisa didn't know how she would approach Jennie. Then she remembered that Jennie had skipped lunch, so she thought that that maybe would be the best: to bring something to eat for the older girl.
Lisa had decided to bring some freshly picked grapes and slices of bread. She considered cooking something for Jennie, but because she wasn't sure what the shorter girl would like to eat, she decided to just settle for the simplest things.
Lisa took a deep breath as she gripped tightly the bowl and plate in her hands. She had already lost count of how many times she took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. But no matter how many times she took a deep breath, she was still as nervous as hell.
Her heartbeats were only getting louder and quicker the closer she got to Jennie.
Lisa cursed under her breath when she almost tripped on her own foot, but luckily the food in her hands didn't spill.
Jennie looked back when she heard a noise behind her and found Lisa looking at the ground while biting her lower lip. Jennie's brow arched up when she saw what was in the taller girl's hands.
Lisa, who was oblivious that Jennie was already aware of her presence, looked up and her eyes widened in surprise when their eyes met.
"Y-Your Highness." Lisa called, sounding more nervous than ever, and lightly bowed her head. Suddenly, the speech that she practiced earlier vanished as she started panicking.
"I-I assumed that you were hungry s-so I brought you something to eat, Y-Your Highness."
Lisa put down the bowl and plate on the table and slowly straightened herself to look again at Jennie's eyes that never left her mind.
"Thank you." Jennie softly mumbled, slowly melting upon learning that Lisa was worried about her.
Jennie stretched her hand and picked up a slice of bread to take a bite.
