Ever since Lisa's father left her in the room after that depressing conversation, Lisa had just sat on the bed staring at her hands in her lap. She just sat there, distressing herself at the result of her conversation with her father. She couldn't cry because something was telling her that there was no reason for her to cry.
Unexpectedly, she was calm and learned to accept her father's decision.
In normal situations, maybe she would not accept it and curse her father until her voice had given up, but maybe because she had already expected that result and maybe because she also knew that there was still another way to escape from here, she just sat down, acting unbelievably calm.
Despite expecting that her father would refuse to help them, she was still disappointed and hoped for a different result.
Lisa stayed in that position for several long minutes. She was probably so lost that she didn't even notice that the pixies had returned already.
The pixies, still in their original form, looked back at each other when they called Lisa and didn't receive any reply, or at least look up at them. Sensing that there was something wrong, the three transformed into their human forms as the red and green pixies sat down beside her, while Sana, the yellow pixie, knelt down in front of Lisa and reached out for her hand.
Lisa almost jumped up in surprise when she finally looked up and saw the three pixies, their faces getting unnecessarily closer to hers.
"G-Guys. Y-You're finally back. How is it? Did you find them?" Lisa asked, sounding awkward because of how much she was trying to mask the sadness and disappointment in her eyes and voice.
The three stared at Lisa for a few seconds at first, trying to read the emotion behind Lisa's eyes, before Sana finally spoke up, ignoring what Lisa just asked.
"What's wrong? We've been calling and trying to get your attention, but you seem distracted by something. Did something happen when we left you alone?"
Lisa scratched the back of her head, suddenly feeling shy and awkward. "I'm okay. It's just that my father came here the moment you guys left."
"What? Why? Did he do something? Did he say something terrible to you? Hurt you?" Sana asked, panicking and looking really worried that she even grabbed both Lisa's shoulders for the blonde to face her.
"What are you even saying? Even though that man was an asshole, he was still Lisa's father. I doubt if he would say or do anything that would hurt his daughter." Nayeon said and removed Sana's hands from Lisa's shoulders.
Nayeon received a pinch on her leg. She yelped in surprise and pain and was about to snap at the yellow pixie when Mina's glare greeted her.
Nayeon was confused at first but soon realized what was with the glare and pinch. She turned red in embarrassment and faced Lisa again, lightly biting her lower lip in guilt. "Sorry, Lisa-ya. I didn't mean to call your father an-"
Lisa faced Nayeon and smiled as she squeezed the red pixie's knee to assure her. "It was fine. I mean, he's indeed an asshole. After all, he betrayed Jennie despite being saved by her once. He stabbed Jisoo. He's also the reason why Leo, Wonho, and Bobby ended up being beaten up." Lisa uttered, glaring at her lap.
