The first thing that registered in Jennie's eyes was a wooden sword that she was holding. She looked around, confused as to what was happening and why she was holding a wooden sword. The last thing that she can remember is she went out of her castle to go to her oldest brother and father's grave.
Where did she even get this wooden sword? Jennie has powers. She no longer needs a sword or any weapon.
Is this perhaps Leo's sword or any of my servants? But Jennie never saw them hold a sword before. So who could be the owner of this sword?
Jennie lifted her head and looked in front of her when she heard someone yelling and steps drawing near her.
Just like what the person yelled for Jennie to do, she went into a defensive position and held his sword tightly. But the moment she realized who was the person that yelled, her wooden sword fell to her feet. Not too long ago, she felt something lightly hit her head. It wasn't painful but she still winced as she rubbed her head.
"Why did you let go of your sword? I told you to hold it tighter but you did the opposite." The other person uttered, shaking his head.
He put his hand on top of Jennie's head to rub the part that he hit, then kissed it.
Am I dreaming?
Jennie thought when she recognized the man who was standing before her and grinning widely.
Her oldest brother, Taemin, was alive and smiling at her.
But how could this happen?
Is this really a dream?
Or maybe the dream was that day on which his brother and father died?
Maybe this was the reality?
Maybe they were all just a dream?
Maybe they really didn't die that day?
Tears started falling down from Jennie's eyes as she continued staring at her oldest brother. Taemin, however, panicked when he saw that his 9-year-old little sister was crying.
"H-Hey. D-Did it hurt? B-But I didn't hit you hard. C-Come on, stop crying Nini." Taemin knelt in front of his sister and wiped the tears on her face, but Jennie's cries only became louder.
The prince no longer knew what he would do to stop his sister from crying. He will get a scolding from his father if he discovers that he made her cry again. He was confused though, because he didn't really hit her hard, but his sister was bawling her eyes out.
"Nini, stop crying, we'll play again just st-"
Taemin's statement was cut off when his little sister suddenly enveloped him in a hug.
"Brother, I've missed you. I miss you so much. I'm so glad." The princess managed to say between her cries. The first prince scratched his head in confusion while the other hand hugged Jennie back.
"What do you mean you miss me? You have never left my side since the sun rose, so why do you still miss me?" Taemin said, chuckling, but his heart swelled at his sister's sweetness.
