That was a selfish thing to ask. That's the first thing that ran to Lisa's mind after those words left her lips. How could she ever ask that? Even though she isn't sure if Jennie heard it, it's still not a good thing to be heard.
Lisa shouldn't make Jennie choose between her or the older girl's family. That was an awful thing for her to do, considering how miserable Jennie's life became at the hands of the people that share the same blood as her.
Jennie should really grab that opportunity to go with her plan during the Diplomatic Banquet because people were busy. In that way, they could easily sneak in without being detected.
Lisa can't ask her to postpone that plan because they don't know when an opportunity as perfect as that would ever come again. Most importantly, she can't ask Jennie to just forget about her revenge and start a new life with her.
Asking that would also mean asking Jennie to forget her family, right?
How can Lisa ever do that?
How can Lisa be selfish?
How can she but what about us?
What would happen to us after that?
That would mean that this relationship doesn't have any future at all, doesn't it?
Maybe Jennie was never serious in their relationship, to begin with. Maybe Jennie was just going with the flow. Maybe she just wants to have some sort of entertainment before she completely vanishes from this world?
Maybe Jennie doesn't really love me just like what I'm thinking?
Lisa shook her head to get those thoughts out of her head. She shouldn't doubt the feline-eyed feelings for her.
Jennie had done countless great things for her already. She even risked her safety for her, to make her the happiest on her birthday. She never treated her ill. She always made sure that Lisa would feel loved.
Jennie was always exerting effort just to make sure that Lisa would be happy. She always made her feel special with every little gesture of hers.
Lisa shouldn't just think about their relationship and what would bring her happiness. She shouldn't be selfish. She should consider what Jennie would feel and what Jennie wants to accomplish.
Whatever Jennie had decided to do, Lisa should respect it, support her and try to at least be happy because love was selfless.
Lisa bit her lower lip and tightly closed her eyes to stop them from shedding any more tears. She took a deep breath to calm herself and for her to think clearly. She wanted to just call this a night and fall asleep.
Lisa wanted to just lie down on the bed and cry silently, but she was worried that Jennie would suspect that there was something wrong with her if she just cut off their conversation like that.
Lisa didn't want Jennie to know that she wasn't happy to hear those revelations.
Lisa didn't want Jennie to know that she hated her plan.
Lisa didn't want Jennie to know that she couldn't support that revenge plan.
Lisa didn't want Jennie to know that she felt like crying.
