"Lisa?" Jisoo uttered, staring at the woman in Jennie's arms. Her tone was unsure and a little bit shaky. She wanted to be wrong. She wanted that woman not to be Lisa because she was feeling something wrong towards the woman.
One of the woman's arms was drooping lifelessly.
She had caught a glimpse of the blood that had tainted the familiar dress. She could see a small part of the woman's face that was tainted with dried blood. Every little detail was screaming that it was Lisa but she was hoping for her to be wrong.
"No- That can't be." Naeyon weakly said, shaking her head, refusing to believe what her eyes were seeing. Like Jisoo, actually, all of them had recognized that it was Lisa.
They were confused, wondering what had happened. They were horrified, wishing that it wasn't the blonde that they knew.
The woman in Jennie's arms reminded Leo of the scream that they had heard earlier. He had caught his breath in his throat when he realized what could be the reason for that scream. He was thinking that Jennie's scream earlier was because something bad happened to Lisa.
But like Jisoo and Naeyon, he was begging the Heavens that he was wrong. He doesn't want that to be the case. Because if not, he wasn't sure if he would be able to forgive himself.
Jennie asked him to take care of Lisa. But because he was swayed by Lisa's wordsand emotions, he let Lisa go, and now this happened. He was starting to see that everything that happened was all his fault even though it was not.
"I'm going to make you all pay for killing Lisa." Jennie said, meeting everyone's eyes, surely sending shivers with the message and the cold tone of her voice.
Jennie met the eyes of her servants, who were also staring at her with fear visible in their eyes, but the fear was not because of Jennie's intense glare but because of what happened to the woman in her arms.
In just a blink of an eye, Jennie had suddenly appeared before Mino, startling her only human servant.
"Y-Your Highness." Mino uttered, looking between Jennie's serious face and Lisa in her arms.
Their eyes widened when they finally confirmed that the woman that Jennie was carrying was Lisa. Like what they expected, Lisa had her eyes tightly closed. Her dress was torn and smeared with blood. Even though there was dried blood on her face, Lisa looked so peaceful. Like she was happy or at least relieved about something that happened before her breath was cut off.
Jennie lifted Lisa's body a little bit, bringing it closer to Mino, who unconsciously took it. The raven-haired woman looked back at Leo, who was being supported by Naeyon. Leo thought that Jennie would yell at him. Blame him for what happened to Lisa, since he's the one who let Lisa go, but Jennie said the words he least expected.
"Take care of Lisa for me." Jennie ordered, as if Lisa was still alive and just sleeping. Jennie asked, as if she wasn't aware of Lisa's condition.
Leo was about to stop the former princess but she suddenly disappeared before them. Leo wasn't sure what he wanted to say when he attempted to stop Jennie.
Maybe to ask her what happened to Lisa?
Maybe to stop her from what she was planning to do?
