Chapter 23: Fyodor Attacks

Y/N'S POV

Last night was crazy. I'd rather not go into detail but we ended up sleeping together. Literally just slept though, nothing untoward. I wouldn't mind if it happened , kidding.

I woke up to the sight of him sleeping soundly beside me, his hair looks as soft as ever. I could just paint him.

"Should I just love you, Dazai" I whispered, hoping he wouldn't hear.

I stretched my body and carefully got out of the bed, as to not wake him up. I checked my phone and scrolled through my call logs. Chuuya, when will you call me again?

Just after that thought crossed my mind, I heard a loud thud and weird commotion somewhere. It got louder the more I listened and it wasn't stopping anytime soon so I did what any person would do; Check out what's happening and see it for myself.

Dazai: Y/N, get dressed, Fyodor is here.

...

"What are you talking about?" I instantly panicked. Hearing his name sends shivers down my spine and makes my head spin, the last time Fyodor did something, everything I had was taken from me.

Dazai: No time to explain. Do you trust me, Y/N?

"I.. I do"

Dazai: Then do as I say.

Something about him changes when he senses danger. When a guy who is usually playful and bubbly suddenly look like the most assertive and dominant man ever, it feels unreal to me.

I got changed as quickly as possible. I followed Dazai downstairs as he holds my wrist to head to the main office.

I noticed as soon I got there; everyone was gathered. Not just the ability users but some members who work in different departments. I was very confused, uncertain of my future and everything that's going on.

Fukuzawa: Everyone's here, I suppose?

Yosano: Yes, President.

Kunikida: We're present, sir.

Fukuzawa: We have planned for this very day. Fyodor has finally made a move after his attack on Port Mafia, since then, we have been formulating a plan to defeat him.

They were? I thought Dazai and the others had no idea how Fyodor managed to take the mafia down, not even I, a member of the Port Mafia knows anything about it.

Fukuzawa: Kunikida, start explaining the roles and responsibilities of each one.

Kunikida: Yes, sir. Dazai found out how Fyodor was able to drive out the Mafia. It was through an ability user who's apparently working for him.

"an ability user?"

Kunikida: Yes, that ability user could permanently remove other people's abilities.

Atsushi: Seriously? That exists?

Kenji: Wow, that's crazy!

Kunikida: In order for him to remove one person's ability, two years of his life must be taken away from him. Ranpo knows where he is and everything about him.

Ranpo: The thing is, that user does not want to use his ability at all but he has no choice for he's a captive of Fyodor.

"So he's being held against his will? We can use that"

Dazai: Exactly. It would've been a problem if he was acting on his own but he's just following Fyodor's orders.

So he must've taken away some of the Port Mafia's abilities? That's insane.

Fukuzawa: The Port Mafia, as far as I know, still has their abilities intact. They went into hiding simply because Fyodor removed one low-rank member's ability and this threatened them.

Atsushi: But isn't the ability user useless against Dazai?

Dazai: Definitely , but he's not who we should worry about.

Ranpo: Fyodor does not want to get rid of your abilities. He wants to get rid of ability users.

...

He's a crazy guy. Using a poor ability user for his own sake and driving the two organizations into madness. So he sent a bunch of men after me in order  to threaten me as well or maybe kill me on the spot, the other Russian guys who were after Chuuya was irrelevant to Fyodor. Things are starting to make sense but my question really is, why's he going through so much just to get rid of us?

Dazai: If Fyodor wants to kill us, we'll have to get him first.

...

Dazai: And to do that, we'll need all the help we can get.

And there it was, the sudden cold aura that entered the room. Coming out from the office door was Chuuya, Akutagawa, Higuchi and Gin.

They're here, in the agency.
