Chapter 25: In love

Fyodor's POV

Those halfwits. After I successfully ambushed the Port Mafia, I knew the agency would spring right into action so while they're going crazy, doing everything they can to defend their organization or whatnot, I'm here relaxing with Akio; The ability user who could remove abilities. 

Akio hates my guts. But there's no one else I'd rather use to reach my goal. He and I go way back and it's kind of humorous if someone tries to know the history between us, so let me humor those who wants to know. 

He confessed his feelings for me a few years ago and I didn't acknowledge it for several months, not because It disgusted me that he's the same gender but I never saw myself falling in love with someone and an ability user, at that. But after I came to a realization of how useful he can be, I never wanted let him go but that's when he started to despise me. I don't really mind, all I know is that he loves me and would do anything for me. Any regular person would say that I'm a bit of a narcissist but is that really my problem?

Fyodor: Akio, the agency is after you. Specifically, Dazai.  

Akio: tch. 

Akio can escape anytime, I'm not torturing him nor threatening to kill him at all so no one can really say that I'm holding him against his will. He himself chooses to stay by my side simply because he hates me so much, he can't live without me. 

Akio: What do you want me to do then, hide?

Fyodor: Mmm, Dazai can easily find you. He found the hiding spot of the mafia faster than I thought.

Akio: This Dazai you keep speaking of, what's his ability? 

Fyodor: He can nullify your ability before you can even remove his. I want you to meet every ADA or Mafia member but I prevent you from ever meeting with Dazai. 

Akio: He's really that dangerous, huh?

Fyodor: He might be the only one who's able to stop me. I won't let it happen though. 

...

Dazai: My ears are itchy. 

"Someone's probably talking about you" I laughed. 

Dazai: Is that a superstition or something? 

"I don't know, some kind of thing I heard. How are we going to find the ability user?" It felt weird but I trusted Dazai completely. Not knowing where we were headed or the plan we'll be executing was not something I was worrying about. 

Dazai: His name is Akio, I already have his location and his connection with Fyodor. I doubt he'll willingly show himself to us though so are you ready to seek for the ones who hide? 

"Hide and seek? That's funny" I laughed and lightly punched his arm. He keeps surprising me with his intellect and I'm not gonna lie, he's making me blush. 

Dazai smiled as we walked over to the pinned location which is where Akio's supposed to be, after a few seconds, I gasped and acted on a whim. A large glass blade flew right at me and almost stabbed my stomach, luckily, I was able to stop it with my ability. 

Dazai: Y/N! Are you okay? 

He quickly came to my aid. We removed ourselves from plain sight and hid behind a tall wall of a very large building. 

"I'm okay, that surprised me though" I panted, still shocked from the surprise attack.  

Dazai: Looks like they know we're coming. I bet Fyodor sent someone to attack us so he could buy time to hide Akio. 

"Then we better get out of here" 

Dazai: Alright. But if anything happens, I want you to save yourself.  

"But-"

Dazai: Please? 

"Okay.." How can I possibly say no to you, Dazai. Maybe I've been denying it lately but I'm slowly coming to a realization that I want to be that someone who can see right through you and love you regardless. 

Dazai: Thank you, Y/N. Now, let's quickly look for a place we could safely hide. 

He softly told me while shards of glass continued to fly at high speed towards us. I never really told anyone but I had a high sense of detection. I wasn't sure if my gut was right but the moment I saw a man walking with his daughter on the sidewalk, I immediately got the urge to follow him. 

"Akio.." I mumbled. My instinct was strongly convincing me that the man walking with a young girl is the ability user we're looking for. 

Dazai: Hm? Did you just say Akio, Y/N?

"I think that's him" I pointed at the man. Something about him wasn't fooling me that he's a father of that child and might be simply using her as a disguise. 

Dazai: Then it's my turn to trust you. Let's get him, shall we?
