Chapter 27: Reward

Dazai: and what will happen If we do? Nothing changes.

Akio: At least, your colleagues won't live in constant fear that they're ability might be removed!

Dazai: But you're only removing them under the orders of Fyodor, not because you want to. 

Akio: I don't know what else to offer you. Just please, don't go near him..

Dazai: You do realize that he wishes to get rid of all ability users. Aren't you one, as well?

...

Akio: I'm fine with my blood dirtying his hands.

Damn, this guy down bad.

Dazai sighed, he wasn't getting anything out of Akio. Simply put, he had no use. I was hoping to at least find out Fyodor's current location because apparently, he's hard to detect. 

Dazai: For now, we're bringing you with us. Our president will decide what to do with you. 

Akio seemed relieved, he didn't show any signs of anger nor did he try to escape. Lifting him all this time is a bit tiring but I've carried much heavier things than him, so this is child's play.

Akio: Fine. Do whatever you want. 

"Are we going back to the agency?"

Dazai: Yes. Also, is your arm still okay?

"Hm? Yeah, his weight is not actually heavy on my arm but on my mind."

Dazai: What happens if you reach your limit? 

"I usually fall asleep but that's about 13-15 hours from now. In fact, Chuuya trained me to last  longer"

Dazai: Tch. 

I noticed the look on Dazai's face that he wasn't quite pleased with what he just heard. He probably doesn't like to hear about Chuuya but some part of me hopes that it's because he's jealous. 

Dazai: You can train with me instead. 

"What would be the difference?" I softly laughed while looking at him. He then turned his head and smiled at me. 

Dazai: I'll give you a reward when you do a good job! 

He said so proudly. That made me curious as to what kind of reward he would give me if I ever pleased him, I should get my mind out of the gutter. 

"A reward? That's silly. Didn't I do a good job catching Akio?" 

...

Dazai: You're right. You did. 

Dazai took his hands out of his pockets and walked closer to me. He then used his left arm to carry me from my legs and his left arm to support my back, now, we're in a position where my legs are wrapped around his waist.

"D-dazai?"

Dazai: Didn't you wish for this? 

He smirked. After that, he gently kissed me while I was on top of him. For a moment there, I forgot that I was carrying Akio so I moved him away so he couldn't watch us. 

Dazai: You taste good.
