The Perfect Mistake

Chapter Four

Tyler POV:

"Good morning, how can I help you?" The young lady behind the counter said looking up after it. "Yeah... uhm we have an appointment with Dr. John." Jamie said almost asking a bit awkwardly. I cringed a bit and looked down to Maddy who is holding my hand with one and Jamies with the other hand.

"Name please?" The Woman said in a voice probably hoping to sound sexy. I can see her eyes go up and down on Jame, obviously checking him out, leaning forward to show of her invisible boobs.

Can't she see that he has a kid on his hand, at least at Maddys behalf she could suppress the "flirting". "Jamie.. Benn" his voice shake a bit what let me know he also noticed that she was flirting, making Jamies social skills even more worse than they already are.

I pray to the gods now or anyone who is out there that she didn't recognize the name that we can get over it here and go away from that lady. Her face expression doesn't chance so I guess she doesn't recognize us which is good.

"Is it just you or also..." she looked defensively down towards Maddy, thank god that she didn't already know what the look means. She looked up in my face having the same expression"...your friend and his daughter?" She asked letting her eyes switch to Jamie having now a smile on her face again.

"This is my daughter." Jamie said clearly in a worser mood now. Picking her up and took a step closer to my side. "And we would like to go to Dr. John as soon as possible", she looked like he hit her with a stone after Jamie said this and I had to hold my laughter in.

"Okey, you can go into the waiting area and sit down there, a nurs will soon be with you" she mumbled her sentence down rather fast and keeping her eyes on the papers infront of her.

"Thank you" I said to her which soundet more like sarcasm. Maddy didn't understood it and the good soul she is, she look in the direction of the woman and right after I thanked her there also was a quiet but happy "Thwank" to be heard making at least mine and Jamies mood better.

"Jamie and Madison Benn?" The nurse called loudly through the area we where sitting, making Jamie stand up with Maddy in his arms. "I'll wait here" I whispered to not disturb the silence again. Jamie just nodded and went with the nurse. In the time Jamies Mum came through to hospital doors, she went and parked the car. "Are they in already?" She asked, letting me nod. She sat down next to me with a little sign "I should have packed something to play when Maddy and I had to stay hear."

"Yeah that would've been a good idea" I agreed with her. In the minutes we sat there we didn't spoke more but on either way, rather you talk or not Jamies Mum always makes it that nothing feels awkward. She is like a haven of peace and that is one thing I adore about her. She is just a sensitive sweet soul, kinda liking everyone and everything.

After like 10 minutes later I heard some little footsteps running towards the waiting area making me smile while imagining her trying to run infront of Jamie and he could beat her at that by taking one step.

I saw her peaking into the room and inspecting the other people who just came in befor focusing me and started smiling while starting to run into my direction. I stood up and reached my armes out for her to run into which she did and I threw her into the air and caught her after it making her giggle all over the place, meanwhile Jamie also reached the room and I saw him in the corner of my eye smiling at us.

As I was finished throwing her I put her on the floor again making her stumple a bit causing me to hold her on her shoulders so she wouldn't fall. After she stood steady again she took my hand into hers causing her to almost completely stretch out her arms, she is actually quite tiny since I also had to strech my arms all out and even bending a little to reach her shoulders.

"Are we ready to go?" I spoke to Maddy but also in Jamies direction, who was leaning on the door frame. He nodded and turned around to exit the room, his Mum right after him. Right as I was about to leave the room with Maddy an olderly women stopped me.

"You two got an adorable daughter" she said looking down to Maddy who is now on my arm. "Uhm thank you" I just said, lying, wanting to get out of the awkward situation as soon as possible. The woman nodded, smiled once again and I went out of the room to get to the others.

"What took you so long?" Jamie asked "It was nothing" I shruged off. "Twehre was woman" Maddy said. Why? Maddy couldn't you start talking in other moments and not about that.

"A woman? You took my daughter to get you a flirt?" He looked amused but had a serious undertone. "No, thats not what it was!" I hopefully made clear. "How was it then?" He asked curiously. "It truly was nothing Chubbs, everything's alright." I calmed him down.

He also let it be and turned his attention to his daughter. "Hey Maddy, Tyler and I have to go now but we will be back, in that time you'll stay with my Mum, is that ok?" she seemed undecided before finally nodding.

But in the same time reaching out to Jamie. He bent down and gave her a hug. She turned to me and gave me also a hug, before she went back to Heather and taking her hand.
