Tyler POV:

I opened Instagram and saw Jamies post right away. It was a cute picture of him and Maddy, he was squatting, Maddy was standing between his thighs and Jamie had his arms crossed around her body and they were both smiling at the camera, making me smile a bit.

The two are so cute together. There was a second picture, so I swiped and revealed a picture of Maddy on Jamies arm, while he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Dear people,
meet my daughter Madison Olivia Benn.

Short and sweet, as i knew Jamie. This is going to be the number one topic of conversation at the press conferences, he has a lot to explain especially because he did none with this post but it's probably easier for him to say than to write it down.

I looked through the comments, some are good, like "OMG SHE IS SOO CUTE!" or "It is sweet, she just looks like Jamie" but some are sceptical like "come on people as if you belive this" or "I highly doubt that she is his daughter, why didn't he talked about her earlier" but one comment caught my attention.

"I can swear, I've seen Jamie and Tyler in a park near a hospital. They where with an older woman (probably Jamies mother) and with this girl. I swear they were like a sweet little family" I klicked on the "more" and like everywhere was #bennguin or that Jamie and I would be the perfect pair.

I of course know what Bennguin is, our teammates often tease us about it, but that's absurd. Jamie and me together. Pff. I scrolled through some different answers before I locked my phone again.

I watched some episodes of the big bang theory before I got myself dinner and went to bed. Before I could fall asleep I looked at my phone seeing that Jamie sent me a picture of him and Maddy wishing me a good night. I snaped a picture with Cash and sent it back.

After a relaxing night I got up around eight o'clock to get to morning practice. As early as it was I felt like a newborn and with a good mood I started in the day. I showered, fed Cash, eat breakfast and brushed my teeth before I closed my door and drove to the dallas stars arena.

As I parked my car I saw that almost everyone was there already. I stepped through the door and saw the coaches standing by the bench, I raised my hand to greet them and walked through the hallways in the direction of the locker room.

As I got into the locker room I saw a face that actually doesn't belong in there. Maddy sat in Jamie's place and watched her feet swinging back and forth with her giraffe in her hand. From what i got the last day she is quite shy around people she doesn't know. But how can i blame her, after all she is in a completely new situation and doesn't know our teammates yet.

I put my stuff in my place and walked over to Jamies. He saw me and interrupted his conversation with John and Jake and turned to greet me. I also greeted them and then turned to my favourite little girl.

I stroke over her hair and her head snapped up as she saw who I was she began to smile and reached her arms out. "Up?" I put her on my hip and put my hand on the back of her head and stroked her hair. "Hey sweetheart, how are you? Did Daddy manage well with you?" I asked and could feel her nodding on my shoulder. "Aww is that sweet, the Bennguin Family is united!" Esa almost screamed through the room giving all the attention to Jamie, Maddy and me.

I usually have nothing against the teasing and Jamie and I are actually used to people treating us like an old married couple but we have some new teammates and a rookie who are hear in Dallas for their first season, even though they have been training with us for a few months I haven't really talked to them except from the greetings and stuff, neither did Jamie and I don't want them to have a wrong impression of us, I mean Jamie and I are only good friends. Although we could actually play with them for a bit, for sure it would be fun.

"Look at the protective look from Daddy Jamie and Papa Tyler, god can someone take a picture, please?" He squealed. "Come on Lindell you're getting ridiculous." Jamie said and began to put his gear on. "Papa?" Maddy asked and pointing with her little finger on my chest. I think I stoped breathing for a second and looked at Jamie, who also freezed in his movement.

"Yes that is right little one, Papa Tyler" Esa laughed totally amused by the situation."Uhm... no Maddy I'm not. I told you yesterday, remember?" I said quite but stumbled over my words a bit. "No? I fink yes, Papa!" She mumbled and leaned herself on me.

With that almost everyone took care of their own stuff again and didn't mind us anymore. Only the fresh guys looked at us now and then after that. I think they try to get to know if the whole family or relationship thing is real or if we're just joking. I have noticed that they do this since they were here for their first practice. Does it really look like Jamie and I are in a relationship, so that they have to watch us?

I don't know what I should say and hoped that Jamie will clear up the mistake but he just stood next to us with an inscrutable facial expression. "No really Maddy. Tyler is not your Papa." Jamie said in a low voice as I put her down. "Bu' Charli alwso Daddy and Papa." She looked up at us. "Who is Charli?" Jamie asked. "Daycware?" She said with an undertone as if we should have known that for a long time.

"Daycare?" Jamie asked her, so he also didn't know about that. Maddy nodded and walked back to Jamies place and set down on the floor infront of it. Jamie and I looked at each other with the same clueless expression.
