Tyler POV:
I don't even notice how fast the time goes by. Only when Jamie steps through the front door at half past three with Maddy on his arm. "Tyler? We are home." Was the first thing I've heard of them. "Okey!" I shouted back and turned to my parents again. "If you two continue to behave like this, it will not be Thomas and Anna who will get married in two days, but you two." Mum smiled and turned as she heard steps comming to the livingroom. These are definitely too fleet-footed for Jamies.
I was right because only seconds later Maddy was standing in the doorway. She looked in my direction and started to walk to me but stopped when she saw my parents. Maddy looked unsure between us before beginning to walk slowly in my direction, not leaving my parents out of sight. I opened my arms when she was only two steppes away from me and she took thet as cue to start running and throwing herself in my arms. "Hey Maddy, how was your day?" I asked and lifted her on my lap. "Good" she mumbled back. "Maddy, I want to introduce you to my mum and dad." I said and pointed at them. They both looked pleased and waved at her. She waves back but then quickly hids her head in my chest. "She is so cute. We actually talked to Jamie about her earlier but he didn't said that she is such a sweet young lady." Mum said and moved forward a bit on the sofa. My Dad doesn't really seemed to care so much like my mum and stood up after waving at Maddy. He probably went to search for Jamie to chat with him about hockey or cars. My mum tried to get Maddys attention for the rest of the day but I know Maddy doesn't really like meeting new people.
"Hey, what do you think if we have a barbecue today?" Jamie asked after a while, peaking into the livingroom. Making both of us nod. "Maddy you wanna come with me or stay here." Jamie asked and looked at his daughter. "Stay with papa." She answered and grabbed my fingers again to play with them. The the answer made my mum frown and I could feel her piercing gaze on me. "Is there something you need to tell me?" She asked with raised eyebrows making me sighed and shake my head. "No. The boys made fun of Jamie and me for being her Dads and she kinda picked it up in her vocabulary. We already spoke to her about it, but she won't listen to us." I tickled her along my last words making her giggle and wiggle out of my arms. My mother just hummed as Maddy made her way out of the livingroom. There was a little pause of talking and just enjoying the others existence.
Nothing more really happened that day. We had dinner and I took my parents to the airport. It wasn't a long goodbye as we would see each other again soon anyway.
More precisely today. I'm just about to pack my suitcase for the wedding. It's a bit stressful as we got up a little late.
The night wasn't really relaxing either. Maddy was up a few times and Jamie and I woke up at different times which resulted in us being completely overtired this morning.
I was woken up by a ringing bell and then already felt the familiar arms around my waist and the gentle, even breath on my neck. I would prefer to just lie down and sleep a little more in the warmth under the covers.
I sigh and turn in Jamie's arms to finally turn off the annoying alarm clock. So I leaned slightly over Jamie, making him let out a dissatisfied noise. However, I know that Jamie would never wake up from such a small movement, so I didn't care about Jamie and tried to get up, which turned out to be more difficult than I thought.
Staying in bed for five more minutes wouldn't hurt, right?
So I laid back down and found Jamie pulling me a little closer again.
This resulted in us being woken up half an hour later by Maddy trying to climb onto the bed. "Hey, Mads" I mumbled, still really tired. Did I really fall asleep again? "Papa up, up." she said in a whisper, still trying to pull herself up on the covers. I tried as best as I could in my position to lift her onto the bed. When I had her up I looked at the alarm clock on the side of my bed. "Shit, Jamie get up! Now!" I almost yelled and tore myself out of his grip and practically jumped out of bed. Of course I made sure that I didn't accidentally kick Maddy off the bed. "What's happening?" Jamie asked sleepily and with an absolutely confused expression on his face but also standing up from the bed, makes him standing in his PJs next to the bed like a lost puppy. "The wedding! We have to be at the airport in less than an hour and we haven't packed anything yet. Nothing." I said, getting a little nervous at the thought that we wouldn't make it in time. "Calm down Ty, it's fine. I'm going to go pack Maddy's suitcase and you'll take care of yours, ok?" Jamie put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed it a bit to relax me. I nodded and started packing my suitcase. Luckily I did brought Cash to Esa yesterday so we have one less problem now. So I packed my best gameday suit and a few other things I need.
"Jamie, do you want me to pack your things?" I asked when I got to Maddy's door. Meanwhile I should also know what Jamie needs for a weekend like this, so I can do that too to take something off his shoulders. "Oh yes please, that would help a lot. And which one do you find more suitable?" he asked and held two dresses up, a light blue one and a pastel green one. "The green one that fits. And as you know, the Benn family look very good in green too." I smiled and gave Jamie a playful wink, which made him laugh.
So I made my way back to our bedroom and retrieved Jamie's suitcase from under the bed.I'm looking through his closet looking for a suit that I know Jamie likes and looks good in. So I took the gray one off the clothes rail and packed it carefully in the suitcase, otherwise I packed about the same things that I packed in my suitcase. I looked at my cell phone, another quarter of an hour. Jamie and my suitcase are packed now only Maddy's is missing and Jamie takes care of that. So now I finally have time to take a shower.
