David came storming over to hawk. Hawk dropped the cup in fear and it smashed all over the floor.
" I thought you were supposed to be paying the bills" David shouted.
This confused hawk. He literally hasn't been at home. Yes he knows when the bills are meant to paid but he hasn't had time.
"David pinned him to the coffee machine. Hawk looked around to see if anybody was witnessing this. No one seemed to care.
" Yeah I am I just need a couple more days to get some money together but don't worry we're always late. They're used to it" hawk said
David let him go and pointed his finger at him.
"Yeah you better otherwise you will be out on the streets" David threatened him.
"What about y/n? She's a kid" hawk shouted.
" Well I'm her legal guardian so she'll stay with us but she'll just be doing what your doing with a couple of beatings" David laughed and left the cafe. Hawk went to pick up the smashed glass. He couldn't get the image out of his head of y/n being trapped with him and mom paying all the bills and basically being tired 24/7. He knows what that's like and he definitely doesn't want y/n go through that.
After his shift he went to demetris to get y/n. Demetri opened the door but went outside to talk to hawk in private about y/n
" Ermmm y/n is kinda beaten up and I don't mean her injuries from David I mean some kids at school beat her up and teased her about the whole situation" demetri warned hawk.
Hawk heart stopped. Hawk ran in the house and saw y/n sitting there having a panic attack. He ran over and hugged her.
" Hey it's okay breathe in breathe out breathe in breathe out" hawk said doing it with her.
Y/n after a couple of minutes started to calm down but was still crying.
" Hey it's okay I'm so sorry about them but don't worry I'll sort it" hawk said hugging her tighter.
Y/n pulled away from the hug and stood up still crying hysterically.
" No Eli when are you going to get it? It doesn't matter how many times you go into the school or try and stop David from hurting me he's always gonna. He's always going to find a way and so are the kids at school. You can't stop them" y/n shouted.
Hawk was shocked. Y/n never really shouted at him but she understood what she was saying.
Hawk stood up and approached her.
" But I can try. Please let me try" hawk gently told her.
Y/n looked like she was in a lot of pain because she kept holding her ribs and she was slightly limping. This broke hawks heart. So he picked her up gently and took her to the car and put her seatbelt on her.
" It's going to be okay I promise" hawk kissed her cheek and took her home to walk into David and mum screaming at each other.
