Apologies for the delay on this chapter! My real-life day job has been absolutely insanely busy! Hopefully will get more consistent updates now :)

The rest of the winter season at Hogwarts was a rather cold one. There seemed to be more snow than any other previous year and most of the students were constantly inside, warming themselves in front of the many fireplaces in the castle, studying, hanging out with friends, playing games and just staying in doors and out of the bitter cold.
You and Lucius had loved it, as it both gave you endless chances to cuddle up together; and now you finally could in public too since everyone knew you were a couple. And although you now held each others' hands in the hallways and corridors and snuck chaste kisses whenever you were together publicly, you both kept your passionate kissing and touching to strictly your two favorite spots; the Room of Requirement and your greenhouse down in the gardens of the school. Both places no one would ever come looking for either of you. You spent hours daily in either location. Kissing each other, touching each other, making love, and just simply existing in dreamy bliss. The outside world unable to touch you.
As for Amalie, you and her had been getting slowly back to normal. At first you both didn't talk for a week after the New Year's party incident when she found out about you and Lucius. Frankly, deep down inside, you knew that you had lost a lot of love and respect for her from her reaction to it all. You had thought as your best friend, she would be more happy for you.
However as the weeks went on, you both were civil to each other, and then smiles began returning whenever you were both around each other in the Slytherin Common room and in your Potions Class that you shared with Lucius. Things were pretty much back to normal, but you noticed that there was always something there behind her eyes. Your friendship had changed a bit. However, Lucius more then made up for the slight loss you felt at that. All in all, everything was good, and you longed for the winter to continue so that you could live in the warm bubble you currently were in. You wanted time to stand still, never wanting the moment to change. Because as you knew, when Spring arrived, that only meant a few more months until Lucius would graduate; something which made your stomach tighten in knots.
In the early weeks of March, when the heavy snow was beginning to melt away leaving only layers of frost all over the grounds of the school, you had been working away in your greenhouse one Monday afternoon. Monday was always your busy herbology day, your favorite, and you loved spending a majority of the day in your own personal greenhouse amongst your vibrant white roses, which had thrived during the winter as well as your various healing herbs that you grew as well.
Lucius would always meet you every Monday in your greenhouse, right as the sun began to set, usually distracting you with his sweet kisses, and then most of the time, taking your body every which way on whatever available surface you could find.
As if right on schedule, you heard the soft tapping on the glass of Lucius' finger, asking to be let in. You usually locked your door, wanting privacy as you worked, and then later when Lucius would join you, privacy for other activities as well. You smiled and set down the watering can you had been using and went straight over to the door, your heart fluttering with happiness as it always did at seeing Lucius.
Your smile faded however, when you saw Lucius' beautiful face had a slight bruised mark and a gash on the right side of his cheek.
