A few blissful months had gone by and everything had simultaneously seemed to change and yet stay the same at once.As much as you loved your own home in South Kensington in London, Lucius had done very little convincing to get you to move out and officially move in with him in his London mansion, of course bringing your beloved cat Emily too.
You had missed your place at first, but living with Lucius in perfect contentment in such a grand mansion, with the most spectacular gardens outside, that you had created yourself, gave you the most happiness you had ever experienced.
You finally were living out the dream that you and Lucius had shared with each other his 7th year at Hogwarts, when he had talked about living with you and being happy together, not caring about what the rest of the world thought about your relationship, and just finally getting to live in peace.
Ever since you and Lucius had made up and had realized that nothing would ever keep you apart again, it was as if years of darkness had shed, and you both could finally live freely and happily. It truly was the light you both had been looking for ever since you had met each other.Although you both had been living blissfully in London, Lucius often spoke about returning to Malfoy Manor in the countryside. Neither of you had returned since the incident which had separated you for those awful two weeks, but Lucius had made sure that none of his security spells could be broken ever again, not even by his own blood, meaning his mother. He had even hired the best Aurors in Britain to make sure it was completely secure. The only two people who could go freely to and from the Manor was Lucius himself and you, something in which you were very honored to be included in. However Lucius, as always, assured you that he would never leave you again, never leave you behind, so of course you would be able to go to the Manor with him.
In fact, it seemed more and more over the weeks, Lucius had been wanting to really go back to the Manor and make it suitable for you and him to officially move in to. To start a new era of the Manor, where it was a place of acceptance and happiness, rather than one of exclusion and darkness.
As it was getting to be March, the weather was beginning to become more suitable to be outside and Lucius and you spoke more and more about going to the Manor to finally be able to work on the rose garden that you had wanted to restore back before the incident in December.
The thought of working back in those Manor gardens made your skin tingle with delight, as you couldn't wait to get your hands on those rare rose bushes and make them bloom with life again. Although you were slightly nervous to return to the Manor, due to all of the hard memories you had from there, you readily agreed to go back once Lucius assured you that it would be safe and just the two of you. You were going back to be able to create new and happy memories of your love together.

It was a particularly warm March day. You could really sense that Spring was in the air and was coming fast, and the herbologist and nature lover in you couldn't wait; Spring was your favorite season.
You and Lucius had decided to finally head to the Manor to begin working together on the rose garden that had been left to overgrowth and ruin over the many years since it had last thrived. You adored that Lucius was so interested in helping you with the gardening. He wasn't an herbologist or gardener by any means, but just the fact that he always took an interest in your passion, and wanted to participate, only made him the best man in the world in your eyes. He was perfect, and all yours.
You both arrived hand in hand at the Manor after apparating there. You landed on the front steps of the grand place and both of you looked up at the Manor with looks of anticipation, nervousness and hope. This was Lucius' legacy, and you knew today was the first step for him to officially claim that legacy.
