With your hand still clutched close to his chest, you saw Lucius close his eyes, as if in great emotional destress, but then he opened them back up and looked at you, deep into your soul, and then nodded his head; agreeing to tell you the full story of what had happened seven years ago to make him leave you.

Seven years ago~Lucius' Point of View
Lucius hated leaving you. Spending time at Hogwarts with you had been his saving grace all year, and despite earlier in the year having brought you to his home to meet his parents, since then, going home had been exhausting and difficult and soon to be...painful. But alas, he had to go home once again. His father had requested he come home now practically every weekend.
His father had always been a difficult man to love; and yes Lucius loved him still, despite all that he put him through. Lucius always strove to be the best son he could be...academically and emotionally. But lately, it seemed his father had become even more hard...more cold and more...hateful.
Lucius knew his father always associated with darker wizards, that was apart of being a Slytherin after all, but he had noticed over the months leading up until more recently, these witches and wizards were a different sort of darkness...they seemed evil. He knew the word seemed extreme, but there was something not right about the witches and wizards that were now constantly at his home practically every weekend. It seemed they were gathering...as if almost a cult...and his ancestral home had become the main location for these meetings, with his father at the forefront. The only wizard that seemed to be more respected in this group of people was a man that he had come to know as Lord Voldemort. Everyone indeed did treat him like a lord too, which was what had been so alarming.
Lucius thought his father had been requesting him home every weekend to simply see him more, but now he realized that he was being summoned home to be indoctrinated. His father would always request him to join the "meetings" where all of the witches and wizards, and mainly Voldemort, would talk about how magical folk were superior to all other creatures and muggles and that all others were beneath them. Lucius himself had been raised mildly on that ideology, however going to Hogwarts and being friends with you and then loving you had changed his mind completely. He no longer felt superior, or better than others, and just the way that these dark wizards spoke about "others" made his skin crawl and his heart pound in his chest.
Lucius' father would always brag about him in the meetings, especially to Lord Voldemort, who would look at him as if he was an object; an object like clay to be molded and forced into something. Abraxas would go on and on about how Lucius was the top of his class, both a prefect and head boy of Slytherin.
Lucius would scarcely say anything in the meetings, scared of what was happening. His mother Tosia was much the same and rarely spoke anymore, even when it was just Lucius and his parents alone without all of the dark strangers in their home.
One weekend in particular, Lucius had gone home again to find that his Manor was infested with the dark witches and wizards. His father had requested he have a private meeting with Lord Voldemort....to discuss his future.
Lucius, Abraxas and Lord Voldemort had been sitting in his father's study, talking of Hogwarts and of Slytherin house, when Voldemort had then asked Lucius his plans for after graduation.
"I plan on staying close by to the school," Lucius had said, not thinking anything of the question, although realizing that Voldemort would most likely have plans for the young Malfoy. "I enjoy being around the school...and my girl is there."
