In the days that followed it seemed you and Lucius would steal kisses from each other any moment you could. You both hadn't told anyone yet, especially Amalie, as she would blab it to the entire universe if she could, and you actually weren't sure how she would take it. Her two best friends together in the way you and Lucius were; you couldn't be sure how she would react.

It was fine by you, however, that no one knew; it sort of gave you a thrill to have a secret romance, especially one with Lucius. You never knew how romantic he could be. He of course had always been more serious and mature than other students his age, but there was this whole new romantic side to him that you were discovering, and you practically melted every time he kissed you.

Many moments you both would pass each other in the halls of the castle, and the next thing you knew, you would feel a strong hand pulling you behind a column or a wall where no one was walking, and you would suddenly feel Lucius' warm, assuring lips upon your own as he pressed his body close against yours. His hand coming up to cup you behind your neck as he pulled you in deeper into the kiss. After kissing you, he would look passionately into your eyes, smirk and then walk away as if nothing had happened. You were always left breathless and you absolutely adored it. You would always be on your way to your next class or destination with a goofy smile plastered on your lips from whenever that surprise kiss would occur.

What you loved just as much as the snogging though, was that you and Lucius were still as close as ever when it came to being friends too. It was the best of both worlds; the passion and fire you felt for this beautiful young man, along with the comfort of friendship. You both still could talk for hours about anything and everything. Encouraging each other to live out your dreams. Lucius had been in the habit of coming down to your greenhouse every day to talk. It was one of the few places you could really be alone. Between kisses you and Lucius spoke about many things.

"You know you really should come visit the Manor gardens," Lucius said as he strolled a bit through your rows and rows of white roses that were blooming everywhere; so healthy and fragrant.

"So you've mentioned," you giggled as you pruned the leaves back a bit on one of the bushes.

"I know," he smirked slightly. He had been telling you this practically every day since that first kiss. "But really...you would love it. I want to show you the gardens. I honestly never really cared about them until I saw you had such a passion for Herbology."

You smiled, your heart warming at his words. To know that he was taking an interest in your own interests was quite a special thing, even if he didn't even know it himself.

"I would love to," you smiled as you put down your pruning shears and made your way over to him. You put your arms around his neck and looked up at him; he was so tall and gorgeous.

"How about this weekend? I can apparate us both," he suggested.

"Oh!" You said a bit surprised he wanted to take you to his house this weekend. You were nervous. What would his parents think of you? They would only know you were his friend, but still...you wanted them to like you in case your relationship with their son ever became known. You were a Hufflepuff after all though and the odds of them liking that wasn't high. Wasn't very high at all in fact.
